What's that about? Did I miss something? Ya its kinda been blown up... I'm curious though... why did Nani open up the replay after the dead game... you have to know that is fucked up, he didnt get much info so im not saying he was cheating but it was obvious that he was trying to... if nestea was gonna 6 pool or some wonky shit like that then Nani would have figured it out. Oh, hey flawed argument, you again. conflict was Naniwa won vs Nestea so he basicly said he overestimated Nestea to think hes smart but rather found out hes an idiot during the interview after the game so Nestea got really angry and wanted to beat Naniwa but lost again vs Naniwa later in the tourament. IMO Nestea lost to haypro... =.= ZvZ. Enough said. WTF As good as haypro might be, if Nestea is the Nestea we know how the fuck do you lose to haypro in a match up you dominate. Its like DRG losing to drewbie .
Haypro has quietly been becoming far better and has been taking a game of ZvZ off Korean zergs for awhile now. Also Naniwa never called Nestea an idiot, what he said was that moving out with all your drones like that was idiotic, which it was. The only other "insult" he made to Nestea in that interview was where he said Nestea wasnt the best ZvP and instead cited teh zergs who beat him in Code A and Leenock (who 2 days later would beat him in finals).

There was no rule about it at the time. However, MLG needs to make a rule about it. There are some really important things that you can see if you look at a replay from the early game like whether or not Nestea was scouting proxy locations or where he was sending overlords that Naniwa could pick off with his first stalker.

more importantly, would nestea hatch first on that map, and if he did, should I cannon rush?

I imagine it is a joke poking fun at the fact that we saw no ghosts at MLG (or at least I didn't out of the games I saw). If anything it definitely seemed like there were far less.

What everyone seemingly ignores, though, is that watching the replay was completely superfluous. The second they left the game, the full build-order was 100% available.

Is it against the rules to look at the BO after the game?

NesTea himself looked at replays during his series against Boxer (the admins told him to stop too). Obviously different, because there wasn't a game restart, but apparently watching replays in-between games is a common occurrence.

Ahh oh Ok. Hahaha too many people basing their views on MLG alone it seems. Although I remember seeing plenty ghosts at MLG anyways.
I thought that Blizzard had made an announcement or something

Just to serious note this up. Its not that Terran's weren't using ghosts, its that they had no time to transition into Ghosts. Naniwa was VERY good at exploiting a lot of timings in Mvp where if Mvp would of gone 2 rax ghost push or transition to early the upgrades would murder mvp. Remember 2 ghost + academy is 1-1 upgrades.
And as far as ZvT, they are still... kind of under used but you need about 10 ghosts before they become effective against BL/Ultra compositions. Puma's builds were gearing twoards the mech/ghost style but idra was didn't allow him to take the 3rd base easily without inflicting damage to a expensive army that needed to be replenished in game 2. ANd game 3 there really wanst time to get Ghosts. Game 1 was just really a build order win / catching idra at a bad time.

Thorzain used tons of ghosts at IPL4 (but did not make it all that far).
|
About ghosts. Basically since that patch there's huge difference betwen 2 emps now and 2 emps before patch. So ghosts aren't that great until you can get 4-5 of them. +toss players can attack in some timings if they see that terran is going for ghosts. That's basically why we don't see that many ghosts. Even if you look at GSL you can see how ghosts are made after 15min mark.
As for TvZ, ghosts are just so late game + terran needs time to get them out, to transision into rax with tech labs and then into ghosts. So either terran has to be ahead or there needs to be some small stalemate when terran will get them.
