In a lot of ways /v/ is better than reddit (with a large amount of overlap, content is quickly shared between the two) and 4chan in general has many of the same problems as reddit does as well (see Anderson Cooper). The fact that for some reason it is okay to promote reddit but /v/ cannot be mentioned is a double standard based out out of ignorance. I find /v/ is a lot better at creating content that's actually funny. The whole sudoku thing had me in tears when I first read about it, the same with Banjo and the 5000 by 5000 reaction images. /v/ is just good at keeping things that are funny funny and disregarding the rest. From what I've seen on reddit, the jokes are alright like they bring a smile to my face but they almost never have me in tears and everything on reddit seems more like an episodic TV show where every day is a new episode without much linkage. Just my two cents. Love you Tyler.

/v/ is good because they have so much fun and don't take themselves too seriously
obviously TL has a million resources and is the best in a million different ways. but for pure fun when an event is going on, f5'ing /v/ is da best.

On every other twitch channel, you can find the previous episodes right there underneath the video feed.
Why is this one different? So irritating I can't find the VOD's!

The game = starcraft 2...and Boxer switched in sc1 before he was even close to a pro gamer.

I wish I lived in your world, it seems just so simple. They do not switch races since they have already put so much time and effort into the race they play now that it would be pointless, they wouldn't be able to catch back up. Also, the terrans who say that TvP is their weakest probably don't use ghost late game or just can't get past the mid-game aggression. That isn't a point to say the game is balanced, that is just players not being capable in certain areas of the MU.
I am not supporting any claims protoss have to a complete imbalance though... The 1-1-1 is just hard to prepare for but is defensible. The ghost on the other hand is game breakingly good. Terran in general is just a more complete race though compared to the other two races.

that's a nice option...throw away 1 year of practice and go play terran or zerg!!!!! And I don't get how there can be little truth to what they say, when the facts are pretty much in everyone's faces (see gsl, for exemple, where terran 1/1/1 you and 1 protoss on 10 holds it, that of fakes a 1/1/1 and just proceeds to econ , so you see the protoss frantically trying to defend it then finds out he put himself behind when the push was never to come in the first place . Oh and gsl is also the place where there are more twice as many terrans as there are protoss and zerg combined). That, and the fact that they understand the game more than you do (considering they play it every days, 8 hours a day).

the problems with using GSL (Code S) as a metric for anything is that the structure of that tournament is deeply flawed. There are a lot of protoss players inbetween code A and S, but it's hard to get into/drop out of Code S because of how the up and down matches work. The problems with the GSL aren't indicative of the problems of the game as a whole, because clearly protoss players can win tournaments.
And no, it's perfectly fair to tell a pro to switch races. It's their job to win games - do whatever it takes. It's not like the differences between playing terran or protoss is that big anyway. And any toss that switches will have a really deep understanding of tvp.

You seem to be forgetting that one of the reasons there are so few protoss players in code S is because protoss is struggling (more) in pvz than pvt

I actually assume that pvz troubles are due to metagame shift right now. It's has not been that long since pvz became heavily zerg favored. pvt troubles have been going on for ever now... its been what? 2 months now? 3 months? You can't be seriously telling me that it's normal that the games still look exactly the same as they were 3 months ago, that absolutely noone found anything at all... If you talk to me balance at my level, I would tell you that I never lost a match to "imbalance" because, well, I make a shitton of mistakes when I play. But, as a spectator point of view, watching the same games unfold games after games after games does make you wonder, at some point...
