He told me what I was doing wrong in the form of a PM, there was no need to make a hypocritical post on the thread as well. While my post was constructive criticism on what I feel mod's are doing wrong. I know I will probably get banned for standing up to a mods hypocrisy, but I will always fight for my freedom to speak (or type).

It's just a warning.
It is also a long standing/well known TL policy that they don't delete posts except in extreme circumstances (I've seen a few exceptions, though  ). So this backseat moderating when the mods are doing what they are supposed to probably gets annoying, especially when it's the 4th or 5th post responding to an obvious 1-post troll and even hypocritically complains about how it trolls people into arguing over it.
Edit: Poor Westy clearly hasn't been around long if he doesn't know about the martyr policy either...

I understand, but I agreed with his point in that case. And I feel like the warning was unneeded because I thought his comment was respectful enough. I think that was one post whose contents I'd have happily lived out my life not reading :p

This Westy character appears to so ignorant of the way TL works that one would almost think he is playing a subtle little game of his own.
Edit: Juvant, I would agree it seems like that was a gray area. However, I think that as long as they don't fly off the handle and do ridiculous things, TL will do just fine with the occasional harsher-than-necessary warning.
