It also makes it clear how hard commentating is: the skill at a commentator need to be paired with intimate knowledge of the game (otherwise you're just BSing the entire time). That's probably the reason you see so many ex-players/coaches in those sport-casting roles (aside from the name recognition): having that first hand knowledge can be a great help. | ||
