Something will have influenced that.

edit: im not going to post any more in here. What the fuck am I trying to sell other than ESPORTS? With every show, cast, appearance, I do... I try to expose more people to eSports and educate those who are fairly new to a concept that's been growing and maturing since the late 90's. Sure I act unprofessional at times... but that's cause I'm a fucking gamer too just like you. I know when I need to apply professionalism, and I know when I can come into a TL thread and unload on a guy like you who is not knowledgeable about my history or intention in Pro-Gaming. The troll pit is that way. LOL. Oh Wheat. Take the high road dude, it ain't worth it.
Heh I Agree, this Vaporized guy isn't worth the time, the being unprofessional bit he said is anything but true. You are probably the most professional person in the whole sc2 scene (i mean for example JP did commentary with kennigit on the missusa pageant, lol which was hilarious).
but yea you have just the right amount of it and you shouldn't change it, I think you are my favorite personality in the e-sports scene right now and I enjoy the dynamic you bring when you cast games and do these radio shows. keep it up wheat!
p.s. i think it would be hilarious if you had a show where you did 2v2 ladder with miniwheat

JP clearly cares deeply about Sotg, and DJ putting his show on the same day, a few hours before sotg, and using a pillar + somebody who is on sotg all the time (idra) certainly was a HUGE hit to sotg and is probably (we don't know everything obviously) the main reason why sotg is on hiatus. On top of that sotg used to talk strats all the time (not so much recently) and that is obviously a huge overlap with inside the game now.
I hope this hasn't created bad blood between the two.
*giggle* ^_^

Seems like unnecessary competition when there are plenty of other days in the week. I assume the giggle is because the reasoning for this was mentioned before elsewhere, so I'll go look for it.

TLO, Huk, Machine, Naniwa, Sheth, Tasteless, Artosis, Djwheat, painuser, kennigit have all been on the show at one time or another.
Jinro too. TLO and Jinro were regular guests before Incontrol had been on the show.

I'd like the pillars to be JP, Tyler, TLO, and Day9 or guest. Tyler covers the protoss/North American scene. TLO the terran(plus some zerg)/European scene. They're both members of TL, with both guys trying to compete amongst the best foreigners, and I feel like neither are douchebags.
Speaking of which, the one person I don't want to listen to is Destiny. I'm not going to spend time insulting him, but definitely DO NOT WANT.
Also if you could get Tasteless as a pillar or regular guest that would be great. He can provide a recent view of the Korean scene, and he does such a good job of adapting to other people. I feel like chemistry is his best strength, in addition to him having a long history with SC.
I like idra, but I feel like there's plenty of ways (from DJ Wheat) to get his view on things nowadays, plus his views have almost become a caricature.
Artosis is awesome also, but I think he's starting a show with Wolf on protoss.

It's such a great show and I looked forward to it every Tuesday night during the quarter. There were so many Tuesdays during my college term where I was having the shittiest day with tons of work to get done and I was just hating my life that got turned totally around when I remembered that SotG would be on that night. It just made me happy and gave me something to look forward to.
Thanks for great shows guys. Hope to see you all back soon! Gat a clue, dude. WHEAT really does A LOT to the community. It's really fair to say that he's within 5 most active community members. Anyway, what's up with State of the game, was 42 already up, did someone replace Incontrol? Wa... Was it my post you wanted to quote? I don't think it was, I was saying how much I loved SotG and trying to thank them. I didn't say anything about Dj Wheat, though he is pretty darn amazing. Nah, dude, failquoted. <3

The players requested it. It's actually THAT simple.
The Giggle is because JP and I are good buddies. We were laughing at the last MLG about this and even talked about staging some big dramatic fight where we slapped each other and pulled hair in a good ole cat fight like brawl.

I fail to see the problem.
I do love SOTG and i would hate to see it go away. And i will miss Incontrol on the show since i loved when he and Tyler went back and forth about stuff.
I do prefer SOTG over ITG, but ideal for me would be to have both shows since i really enjoy watching all those SC2 talk shows.
More content can't be a bad thing.

Now you've given the surprise away, for shame. I think JP has more hair though, so you'd easily win.

People act like after watching ITG, they are all filled up with ESPORTS for the day and wouldn't watch SOTG...
It' a freaking podcast, if there was 5 SOTG a week I would listen to it :3

Like iNcontrol and SotG has tainted the word "announcement" so has HotBid warped my understanding of the word esports. Can't take either of them seriously anymore.

Lol why would they know him if they weren't involved with starcraft 2 in the first place though? :O
Yeah, because nobody has ever became interested in SC2 unless they were already interested in it. Husky has a huge audience, and has brought many people in to the SC2 community who had no idea of BW or the coming of SC2. Seriously? Your comment is terribly bad.

I hope SotG comes back A new pillar is required. Maybe IdrA? Or you could just have 3 pillars.

In my view SoTG and ITG are not mutually exclusive shows. They both serve different purposes and don't necessarily compete with each other. ITG is more instructive while SoTG is more what is going on in the SC scene. Now i am unable to watch both and will often catch the end of ITG and the beginning of SoTG due to family and work. I normally catch the complete programs via VOD or itunes.
