If you think this decision has nothing to do with the similiar "EG show" running earlier on the same day, you are a damn fool.
I firmly believe that if Geoff told Scoots "you know what, I don't have time for both of these shows, and I prefer SotG for x reasons so I'm going to stop doing ITG," Scoots wouldn't stop him. EG already has a IdrA on ITG so they'll always get their plugs, and their sponsors get the ads at the beginning even when nobody from EG is on (the SteelSeries and Kingston ads run on all OneMoreGame shows).
I dont blame him for his "choice", and its understandable. But you are a damn fool if you think it wouldnt have been some consequences if he had quit ITG and kept going on sotg
Yeah, seriously. Tell your boss at you're job you're not going to do the work he wants you to do, and that you're going to do your own thing instead, but it doesn't matter because there's other people who work there, see how well that goes.
Watch today's ITG. I do beleive that when Geoff appeared and Painuser asked him "whats going on with SOTG" geoff responded he had obligations to his team and that in order to prioritize his time he needs to give up sotg.
Bottom line: he had to give something up because he didn't have enough time. he couldn't give up ITG because ITG is a sir scoots production so he gave up sotg. fyi, sir scoots is the main executive in EG.
If you'd been reading the thread, I was one of the people commenting on what he was saying on ITG right after he said it. He didn't say he "couldn't" give up ITG, he said he wanted to focus on things that support his team.
For the hundredth fucking time, Geoff having to make a hard personal decision and weighing his team's interests in that choice isn't something you can blame EG for, it's a fact of life. Maybe this wouldn't be an issue if EG wasn't so active about promoting themselves, but that's how you run a successful team.
And since I'm apparently not being clear, I understand that Geoff's involvement with EG is partially responsible for him having to leave SotG. That's obvious, he said it himself. What I disagree with is people saying that they're "disappointed in EG" or making it sound like Scoots forced Geoff to stop SotG, because Geoff could have stayed on SotG if he hadn't chosen to do NASL, coaching, etc. There was a long series of decisions Geoff made that led to him having to leave SotG, and while EG's stance may have influenced some of his choices, there's no evidence that the decisions weren't ultimately up to Geoff.
Every single show in the past month Incontrol has remarked either about incredibly busy or tired he is. One of the shows he couldn't even make it.
Incontrol feels that the show is a commitment that he has to make, so he is resigning officially and will probably take a "Day[9]" (recently, no offense, Day9 has only been on like 50% of the time) style position where he comes on when he has time.
Broadcaster Pro Itmejp: so » we'll get the show rolling » but » give me a sec » xsplit is crazy fucked up when it comes to skype atm » in the mean time just settle
