If this is true, is it somehow possible to get a true (as much as points can be used as a ranking) indicator of you're world ranking based off divisions also?
I.e. if you're in plat (let's say you're 10,000 / 40,000 in the world) make it (all GM + Masters + Diamond + 10,000 Plat above you / Total world players)
Just think it would be interesting,
Cheers.
Points don't remotely work across leagues, which is why rankings are only done based on the league.

Due to bonus pool changes, the feature needs to be reworked, but haven't had time to do it.

It looks like there were only about 450,000 inactives at the end of last season (judging by the degree to which bronze exceeded 20%, to approximate)... is the total sc2 population really going to decline by 1.5 million, or do people really tend to wait a few weeks to play their placements? I don't seem to remember this at the beginning of season 2. EDIT: I should say, this is when I do a search for stats, like this, that ought to come up with everyone. Obviously it says three-million-and-some on the front page.
Front page shows the total number of players in the DB, the stats page shows the total number of teams that are active (in the case of 1v1, teams = players). Keep in mind the DB when counting total players is including any account, even those who only played single player, or only play custom games and not ranked, etc.

What avatar? The media pack is probably out of date, I'll update it when I have a chance. You can also just pull it from battle.net thought.
Looks like ThArGos had another division update and the casing fixed itself. I just fixed the bug that didn't let you rename characters to fix casing and manually corrected BadFurDay.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer and the bug fix!

Bug: If someone was active in season 1 and 3 but didn't play in season 2, and you click on their season 2 page it will say they didn't play any games in season 1 and afterward neither season 1 or 2 links will be displayed in their profile.

Fixed a bug causing the season links to disappear if someone didn't play in either S1 or S2. This might take a few hours to show up as fixed due to caching. Fixed achievement updating, this won't retroactively fix profiles, but any new profiles will receive updated achievements. Fixed achievement listings not working for AM, EU and KR/TW
Feats of Strength should start showing up in achievements now as well, and the top 1000 achievement points players who aren't at the 5,160 cap will now be updated, up from the top 500.

Can sc2ranks collect such data as peak concurrent players online? Or number of players that log in on a given day? I'm trying to find such numbers for Starcraft 2 but have a hard time finding them.

There is still some bug regarding the season links. Before the new fix my own profile did not have any season links even if I have been active in every season. Sc2ranks has stored my season data and I can access it by completing the URL manually. The new bug fix partially fixed this. Now I have links for season 2 & 3, but not for season 1.
Here are couple profiles (not including my own) that have this problem (no season 1 links, were active in s1 and season data has been recorded by sc2ranks): http://sc2ranks.com/eu/957720/Honkyponky http://sc2ranks.com/eu/1794530/GoodNight http://sc2ranks.com/eu/178707/Thesper http://sc2ranks.com/eu/536594/Skanjara
I would also like to suggest a new feature regarding the team points and world ranking graph:
At the moment there are two different 'view graph' settings: 1) view a certain month (graph shows a short time period) or 2) view every month (graph shows a very long time period). I suggest that also a season specific graph setting would be added (e.g. a dropdown list which has seasons 1, 2 & 3).
And thank you for providing this great site! It has been a great resource for me since the release of SC2.

Hey, this may have been asked before, but I have a question about the way you search for profiles with character codes. My name on Bnet used to be "ewic" and code was: 708. This worked perfectly in the top-right profile searcher. About 3 months ago I used my name change to change it to "cSOewic" and my new code is: 605. However, if you search csoewic/605 in the searcher, it doesn't give any results. BUT if you search csoewic and 708, it DOES find it.
Soooo I'm wondering if this is a glitch and I just wanted to bring it to your attention.
Thanks for all the great work on the site!

I think its a bug. I have 2 accounts that have had their name changed and it also does not show up under search results.

@Shadowed - sent some more sc2casts -> sc2ranks connections in PM (in case you missed em)
Cheers!

Unfortunately not, I don't have access to that kind of info. Only Blizzard does really.

Looks like it's fixed it just needs to be able to recheck the characters. I'm resetting the S1 flag and it shouldn't have issues anymore. I'll see about adding something to show a specific season.

It's generally supposed to reset character codes in that case, but character codes in the system aren't really reliable anymore so I'm not hugely concerned about it.

Updated name associations with a new list for SC2Casts VODs (thanks chukpeev) Fixed a bug on the region stats page Fixed a rare error on the mobile API Fixed a data bug with achievement naming, I can't seem to duplicate this logically so I'm going with it being an odd one-time issue Reset all of the season 1 flags to fix the S1 urls not showing up correctly. Removed last 5 achievements since it's never worked quite as well as I'd like it to in a sane way. Team history graph now defaults to the last 30 days rather than the start of the month
SC2Replayed fixed their API, I'm in the process of backloading all replays added to the site since March, and after that it'll continually add new replays from SC2Replayed.
Due to ReplayFu domain expiring, all ReplayFu replays have been removed.

I'm getting a bug right now which doesn't allow me to see page 2 of global grandmasters for some reason. It redirects me to page 2 of global masters rankings.
|
Fixed, the homepage will update URLs when it recaches. Should be in a few minutes.
|
There was an error parsing your replay. There was an error parsing your replay.
|
That's not particularly useful.
|
What is not useful about it? Everytime I try to upload replays i get that error for about a month now and I don't know what to do about it. I see other people on the forums saying the same thing and it hasn't been addressed
|
So you're getting an error uploading replays... on a site that has no replay uploading and never has?
