Dimaga leaves RoX.KIS and joins mTw. There was a discussion about this on the russian WCG stream but I missed most of it. :/ I might summarize it if there is a Vod.
Anyways here is the official news:
+ Show Spoiler +
New Teammate for mTw.SC II

From this day on DIMAGA is part of our team and a big wish from Team Manager Christopher "Tak3r" Heil turns true. At the same time DeMusliM joins up with his prefered 2v2 partner. A short interview with our new member and some facts can be looked up in the following newspost.

We are proud to announce the next addition to the StarCraft2 Team of mTw. As already mentioned in the Welcome News for Benjamin 'DeMusliM' Baker, we made plans for another top player and from this day on he will support us actively with his excellent zerg skills: Dmytro 'DIMAGA' Filipchuk! The 24 old ukraine draw the attention with a couple of Cup wins in the early beta stages and can also look back on a very successful broodwar past.

We are happy that he joint us and look into a bright future just a few days before the release of StarCraft 2. We are already excited about the first upcoming clanwars against other top teams. Our Team Manager Tak3r did a first short interview with DIMAGA:

Christopher 'Tak3r' Heil:

I'm extremely happy with DIMAGA joining up with us, he's like best friends with DeMusliM and builds up a solid foundation for our squad. The addition of both of them also resulted in an high motivation boost for the rest of the team and I can't wait to see the whole team in action in the upcoming clanwars. Nothing more to say - I'm just so glad that both of my high priority players decided to join up with us -smile-"

mymTw.com: "Hey Dmytro, welcome to our little cozy SC2 Squad here at mTw, please tell us something about you as a person in your real life before we get into gaming stuff."

mTw.DIMAGA: "Hello everyone I'm really happy to get into mTw squad. What can i say about myself umm I'm 24 year old end my university 2 years ago and now Iwant become progamer. My hobbies are sports like football or gym workout."

mymTw.com "Yes judging from various pictures i've seen you don't look like the average nerd guy ;-) Why did you decide to invest a lot of time into eSports and not concentrate on a career in a traditional sport like soccer?"

mTw.DIMAGA: “ yea I am ^^ I just really like almost all kind of sport - from basketball and other sports game to MMA. I always was in sport from my school and in e-sports too but first of all this was just hobby but now I can get some not bad money ( like for my city ) so i will try to be on of the best and my reason for this I'm really like it and some times i get not bad result ^^”

mymTw.com: “Hehe I’m a big fan of MMA myself ? But let’s switch the topic to SC2 now. You are known as a strong Zerg player, what is your impression about Zerg in the past Beta stage and are you satisfied with the way they are being played now. Lots of old Zerg players don’t like the new feeling and role of a Zerg in SC2…”

mTw.DIMAGA: “In the beginning of Beta test zerg was overpowered but then they nerfed too much and terrans get really big buffs TT and now really hard to stay at top of sc2 by zerg player. I think in future will be some patches and will be some changes, but I dont' think it will be in near future TT so will try do my best.”

mymTw.com: “You rarely see a good Zerg win against a good Terran, that’s true… What is your overall impression about SC2 so far, please give us a short statement about the new Battle.Net 2.0 and also about the gameplay itself. Do you think SC2 can become as big as SC1 in the next 3-4 years, especially in Korea?”

mTw.DIMAGA: “Overall impression is really good and I really like gameplay, cause its more easy macro and many other sutff that was in BroodWar. About Battle.Net 2.0 I think its not bad, good decision about mix all blizzard games and you can talk with your friend in other game. Yea I think SC2 can be the same as SC1 maybe more don't know about Korea but in whole world it would be more popular for sure than SC1 ^^”

mymTw.com: “You said you are gonna become a progamer, how much time will you put into SC2 and whats your goal for the next year in terms of achievements?”

mTw.DIMAGA: “I think I will give to game really much time don't know how much in hours but I think it wold be 5-6 hours a day for sure my Goal is to be at top ”

mymTw.com: “Do you also consider to eventually move to Germany at some time in order to play the EPS just like your new teammate DeMusliM?”

mTw.DIMAGA: “umm really don't think so TT cause of my family and girl ^^”

mymTw.com: “Good reasons to stay ? Well maybe the ESL will put up a huge league in the Ukraine too so there is no need to move anyway. Back to SC2: Which players impressed you the most by far with their playstyle from each race?”

mTw.DIMAGA: “Yea will be great. Interesting question I think first terran player who really impressed me was DeMusliM but far away was unofficial WorldCup of beta I think Maka was really good, from protoss don't know but I think nowadays Tester is really great, from zerg play its first of all sure Cool[fOu] and Sen.”

mymTw.com: “Blizzard just released the “StarCraft II - Ghosts of the Past Trailer”, which impressed a lot of people in the last couple of days. Are you going to play the campaigns as well or will you focus 100% on the multiplayer part?”

mTw.DIMAGA: “I think I will focus 100% on the multiplayer part but i think in free time I will try singl too ”

mymTw.com: “Okay! Thanks for the short interview, we will definitely do a bigger interview in the next months but this should do for now! Any final words for your fans out there?”

mTw.DIMAGA: “Thx you too i want to wish to all of my fans and people at all BIG HEALTH and best luck cu soon ”

Good line up with potential to go far in SC2. Just all depends on practice and if they put the effort in to become really good at it.

Hey OP, I shortened the link for you:
http://bit.ly/b5sfUh

Or you can use the link tags.

As for the news - Dimaga was my favorite player throughout the beta and I'm still rooting for him. I think he's just in a bit of a slump, and I'm sure we'll see great things from him in the future.

Dimaga Fighting!~

A complete noob question here.

Why do some SC teams have 10 members if they're never going to use all of them in a single match?

Clan wars usually entail having your 5-10 best guys playing against the 5-10 best guys of the other team in best of 1 or best of 3 scenarios. Some leagues pit teams against teams and have rankings, like you'd see in the NFL or MLB. SC2 does not only stick to individual leagues and tournaments. =)

the standart format of sc2 leagues is 4x 1v1 + 1x 2v2 but a depth in the squad is always good
also showmatches can be 7x 1v1 or even more

First of all, you have a bigger pool of selection per map. If your team needs 5 players for 5 different maps, eventually your lineup will be predictable and other teams with more players will have the ability to "snipe" your players.

Secondly, you have more verity during practice without a leak. If you choose to practice with other teams, when the time comes to face them, they will have more information about you than you would like.

Thirdly, you cannot guarantee consistency. What if one falls sick? What if he's just not doing well and needs a break?

Finally, having more players than required gives you a room to grow a potential. Korean progaming coaches usually say it takes 2 to 3 years for a player to become "usable." Even players like Jaedong and Flash had this. No one knew Flash when he used to get destroyed by Nada in WeMade Fox during his early years. So if you want to have a good player for cheap, so you decided to grow one, you can't just put him in the line up. He will be demolished and might be discouraged or may be wrongly judged of his potential. Not to mention it will cost you matches.

It's exactly same as any other sports. Sure in eSport its rare event to have injuries. But other things happen.

because these teams are essentially bundles that are sold to sponsors. CWs are irrelevant.

That isn't entirely true. Teams also do that because it isn't like everyone on a team can make every clan war. Additionally, it is better for the team to have more players representing the sponsors (more shots at winning stuff) and to train with each other.

Sponsors want a successful team... more players helps that along.

Yeah sure... because getting to the finals in the unofficial sc2 world cup among crazy koreans is really easy...

maybe because Dimaga has won more events than anyone else so far in SC2? Maybe because he IS better than 99% of SC2 players out there? II don't think hes pro, I don't think anyone is pro right now, but unless your rivaling him in skill and accomplishments, please don't talk trash.

According to Moonshine's profile, he is 40 years old. Is this accurate?

A complete noob question here.

Why do some SC teams have 10 members if they're never going to use all of them in a single match?

because these teams are essentially bundles that are sold to sponsors. CWs are irrelevant.

hahahahaha !!! i laughed a lot at the answer .

I think I can answer the first question cause my team has arround that amount of members. There's some reasons to this: + Show Spoiler +

-if everyone is around the same skill level, you have a lot of people to practice with, people that you can try the same build against 40 times or have try their build on you multiple times. Prepare for clanwars and events together, since you have opponents in common!

Also, the game is always changing and with everyone commited to it, your top lineup for a clanwar is going to change, due to many reasons, strategically for example, if you know player A excells at playing vs Terran or a certain map, you can use him for a clanwar against a team that has predominantly Terrans, just to set a simple example.

Altough many teams choose to build their squads by picking players here and there, which is not wrong by any means, there are other teams who don't!

I am proud, no, I am EXTREMELY Proud to say that -every member- of my team has been offered some sort of deal or contract (some members over 3 times) by multigaming organizations, big or small, and they have all respectfully declined. Because we believe we have a team synergy and share the same goals and vision, and we believe that by sticking together we can become the best Don't get me wrong though, our goal is to become professionals and for this we will need sponsors and salarys, and the sooner the better. But I think to us clanwars are VERY relevant because they show the results of the hardwork we're putting into this game as a team.

You mean you're not gonna get Starcraft towers nerfed like you did in Warcraft 3 by mercilessly abusing them? Awww. Good stuff though Tak3r, good luck with your team. Loved your interesting games back then.
