I can say for myself that I don't much like the line, but not because it's wrong, but because it's so trivial. There are things worth fighting for. O RLY? Yes, there are, so? Yawn. There's just nothing original about it. It's all so ... generic. Like the guy above said, it's Team America without the humor. Would be nice to see something by 2010 that couldn't have been there in exacly the same way 1990 or 1980 (except the CG of course, which looks more like ... 2005). | ||

People thumbs it down because the writing is worse than Catwoman, whether it wants to or not. There is no way the writing can be this horrid and the trailer-structure so dumb if it was meant to convey an actual message. It's a joke - a spoof. But it's a generic spoof that adds nothing to the hundreds of similar spoofs on this type of trailer. Therefore it's hard to get worked up about. It's reminiscent to "Meet the Spartans". Fortunately, the quality of the actual gamepart of the SP-game (the SP missions) is rumored to be quite high. | ||

Mengsk writing a book on philosophy of warfare? What messages and one-liners do you really want that would fit in this universe in this trailer better than others? the answer you're looking for is: NONE. Why? Because the "cheesey" lines as you call them are true... they make sense... that's why they are repeated for a reason... only they are repeated in the context in which they fit and appear.. e.g. in Starcraft 2... the lines tie in with raynors struggle.. and the entire previous story... Avatar... highest grossing movie of all motherfucking time,.... story isnt even half as good as starcraft... and there are one-liners all over... so what? Who the fuck cares? Who wants the main character to sit down in the midst of battle and go... "gee guys.. lets think this through abit... i'm in the philosophical corner right now... gimme some space y'all?"
