Broodwar made it clear that Earth was much more powerful than the Terrans of the Koprulu Sector, since the UED fleet was so powerful that Kerrigan had to join forces with Mengsk and the Protoss to defeat them.
Earth/UED would also have had 4 years to rebuild and study their opponents. I wonder if a new UED fleet will be involved at all in Starcraft II.
Earth/UED has no idea what happened at Brood War events, but there are UED survivors left after Kerrigan invasion

Where do you think that prince guy comes from ?
The Waters of Lake Minitonka?

Lol that was a pretty cheesy video. Nearly every single spoken line sounded like it belonged in Team America :p

I just had a massive nerdgasm, full on mega-chills, great now Tuesday feels about a year away!

How come? Actually how long did it take for the colonists to travel there from earth? I'm also assuming communications would be a bit faster... than 4 years?

how come the only protoss in nearly all of the videos (maybe all) is zeratul, like there are no other protoss at all? I know this is the T part of the game but still

A+ on the cinematography as always.
D- on overwrought dialogue.
I wasn't too pumped for single player. But now we're starting to see some substance after all the secrecy behind the campaign and all of Blizzards big talk.

that looks so cool, also mutalisks in space.

EPIC!!!! that is all that needs to be said.

Blizzard has done an outstanding job on this one, can't wait to see what they got planned for Diablo 3

Then again, one of my favorite CGI trailers of all time was for HG:L, and yet the game itself was really bland. Not saying I expect anything bad from the campaign, but epic trailer hype has been known to disappoint before.

I just want to see "Starcraft" on "On-production" tab on "IMDB.com"

I'm pretty sure in a sc1 cinematic you could see some mutalisk in space, don't remember exactly.
Of course they have to be able to fly in space. How do they invade other planets otherwise? ;o They are supposed to be a threat for the entire universe right? Going for the homeland of the protoss etc.

UED do not play a major role at all in terran campaign. was confirmed by blizzard awhile ago. they may be involved in other campaigns however.

Great trailer!
I may get flamed for this, but i can only speculate that everyone that thumbed it down and said it was cheesy and cliche'ish doesn't realize that in life, you do have to fight for things. And they are worth fighting for. Whether you're fighting for your country, or standing up for your little brother from the bully down the street. Whether you're helping a loved one through an addiction, or protesting the destruction of a rainforest, or trying to send relief supplies to a war-torn country, you do have to fight. It's HARD. It SUCKS. But it's totally worth it. That's why most of us get totally nerdgasm'd up watching this. It reminds us of the struggle in our own lives, a struggle that seems daunting and unwinnable at times, but because we love our family, friends, or our cause, we do it. That's why Raynor is such a simpathetic character. He's a regular dude, called upon to do great things, much like most of us are pretty "normal."
Just sit back and enjoy. I don't ever get tired of "romantic ideal" characters when the treatment is done right. It is fiction after all...

I think they reused this for human Kerrigan. But w/e, it's still good.
