Seems like a lot of work and hard drive space. You can't just download a language pack from your battle.net account page if you speak another language? You get english and spanish packs here in n america.
Are those the only languages you can get if you are in the states/canada?

I've seen French on the Futureshop's and Bestbuy.ca's websites, but there is no French collector's edition, only English.
Took some digging, but I found the French version.

Final Edit: Yeah, I'm not so sure about download versions.

Are these links still valid? Maintenance atm but I haven't actually checked on these until today, was just wondering if they went down days ago or if it's just today cause it's wednesday.

Obviously, if I had known about this site I wouldn't have even ordered a hard box. At that time there wasn't even a hint for digital licensed game. I searched Blizzard stores, internet, nothing. Just to be sure: If I get a boxed version, can I use the cd key from the box for the digital download? Meaning I could DL the digital and I'll be good to go the 27th at 10am? Thanks!
Bashiok confirmed you can use your physical activation code on the digital version.
Once the game activation key is added to your Battle.net account and your game license is active, the option to download the client online will become available.
Please keep in mind, though, that if you try to download the game client early via the digital download option, you will want to make sure that the region of the game client you’re downloading matches the region of the game license that will be shipped to you later on. If your game license region doesn’t match the downloaded client’s region, you will not be able to login.
To clarify further, if a player purchased the North American version of StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty from a store on July 27, he or she would need to ensure that the digital game client downloaded is also from the appropriate region (in this example, from North America). Otherwise, that player would be unable to login until the North American game client is installed.

But again, he says why would you want to? The difference is negligible like many have said. Unless your DVD drive is much much slower than your hard drive.

With the timezone differences does that mean EU servers will be up before the NA server?

Would if be possible to get the digital copy for a friend? Have them download this client. I really just need to know how I would receive the authentication code. Hopefully via email that way I can just give the code to them. Or maybe they make it so as soon as you buy the official copy on the 27th they instantly lock an authentication code to the account you are signed into at the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated :D

This is because the web address changed form a beta site to the official.
http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/
Try that one out. Change region at the site itself if you need to, and then bookmark it.
Seems you can download it, but not install it yet. I thought you'd be able to install andjust have to activate it via a code.

For any other game i'd buy a digital copy, but for Blizzard games i always like ordering the box version since they're simply too epic.

So, are you able to play immediately when you've purchased the digital copy and installed it? or do you get it somehow later than physical copy? Im Sorry if this has been said before, im kinda in a hurry, and since i still remember to ask this, im asking it now without reading 15pages

You will be able to play after you downloaded the digital copy and paid for it, although the payment for the digital copy wont be available at midnight if I understand it correct. Im sure it will be available for payment in the morning around 08:00 or something around that time.

I've been to the page.. I would prefer to download this.. where is the price??

Thank you. Know im just hoping that the price won't be much more higher than it normally is, if you want a physical copy.

does anyone know if it will be possible to activate the game on one computer and then play on a different one? I'd really prefer to play the campaign on my desktop instead of the slow laptop (which I can take to a place with internet.)
