Regardless of your intentions, it was clear that he didn't want to talk to you (he ragequitted, obviously needed to cool off). You PMing him after the game was over is immediately considered BM, period. It doesn't matter if you were nice to him. In the "after-game chat" sessions, the person who initiates the conversation is the primary BMer. The other one may then counter back, but he didn't start it. When the game ends, it's assumed that the rage/ tough guy conversations do too, so PMing a guy you just beat afterwards is just bad-mannered, period. It doesn't matter if you have good intentions. Hope that helps  EDIT: This means that about half of the people who post their rage stories end up admitting that they were the ones being the jerks and initiating the BM. Basically, don't PM any random guy you beat unless you have some sort of agreement to play more games. And be wary that they might be mad at you. | ||

In my eyes, as I am used to with my real life friends, when you see the tantrum start you HAVE to go in for the kill...its all in good fun. However, I suppose I should have just let him ragequit and been the better man... He was a douche and I was a dick looking at it as you suggest. Thanks again for clearing that up.
