imo, it should be much harder to stay in diamond division. I haven't heard of lots of ppl being demoted to platinum, but everyday there's so many players getting into diamond :/

Doesn't Idra play primarily on the Asia servers? If so I doubt that's actually him.

I'm in that division (I'm 11th in the first screenshot) and its definitely real. A few of the EU still play in that division. I played WhiteRa a bunch yesterday, but the korean presence definitely has dropped off excluding Idra.

Didn't realize ogs.ssks was Tester, I played him a bunch.

That's because you can't place into diamond.

So all the diamond players start at gold or plat. So of course there will be many diamond-level players getting into diamond league divisions.

Yes that division is real, I have a screenshot of it from a few days ago when it was

in order:
Idra, TTone, Katari, Huk, WhiteRa, Morrow, ogssks, strelok, and slush

It's still possible to get to the #1 spot over idra, simply because you aren't always (or even usually in my experience) matched up against players in your division.

Idra was probably only playing on the US server because the EU server and the Asia servers were down. When the Asia server came back up, he just stopped playing on the US.

I like the idea of a linked Diamond league, even if they implement the proleague they should still do this.

The current incarnation of the ladder is terrible, having X amount of cloned divisions that aren't linked is woeful. I know it makes it 'nicer' for new players to be bronze/silver as opposed to being Rank #117,845 but if they just link the diamond/plat/pro leagues then it's not a big deal for those players.

another strange thing i encountered was that division names repeat quite quickly: i mean are there really only so few combinations? warfield rho, overlord kappa, thor iota i already saw twice each.
