The next release of Sc2gears will be requiring Java 7! If you only have Java 6 installed on your computer, you won't be able to run the next Sc2gears release. Install Java 7 now to avoid Sc2gears problems. You can install Java 7 from here: http://java.com/ If you are an Sc2gears Plugin developer, be sure to prepare your plugin's code for Java 7. | ||

since i updated, sc2gears won't open ( i have a mac ). it always gives me an error. you can see it here : ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/iwzisQH.png?1) i just installed java7, so normally this couldn't be a problem, but apparantly it is... i also tried to restart my computer, but it didn't helped. thanks for your help | ||

I'm not a competent guy regarding MAC, but I think when you install multiple Java runtime environments on OS-X, you can/have to select the default one. Even though you installed Java 7, Java 6 may still be the default one and being used by Sc2gears. Either set Java 7 as the default or uninstall Java 6 completely. | ||

A quick Google result howto set the default Java version on OS-X if you have multiple versions installed: 1. Run /Application/Utilities/Java/Java Preferences 2. Click and drag Java 7 to top of both lists, and exit the program. To test it, open a terminal, and type: java -version | ||
