If I spam to warm up, I usually average just under 150 over the course of the game and I've noticed that my APM tends to spike higher during battles early on if I spammed at the beginning as if it actually does warm me up. Can't prove it, but I certainly feel a lot faster. If I just sit on my hands with my free time at the beginning, I usually average around 90ish or so. I'm honestly quite proud of my APM; I didn't even know what APM was until I started watching VoDs and stuff while I hoped for a beta invite. I was never a competitive SC1 player, nor even played it often. When I first started in the beta my APM was like 25 because I just didn't know what I should have been doing that required me to click more often.

To everyone saying you don't need more than 150-175 APM to be good at SC2 you have to realize that this is only the beginning of SC2's legacy.

When BW first came out people only needed like 120-150 apm to be competitive. But now look at the Korean pro scene. Any competent Korea progamer has at least 250+ APM, while the truly top gamers have around 300 APM. The more APM you have, the more stuff you can do. Period.

Now, the better you are, the better the "stuff" that you can do will be. For those copper league scrubs with 330+ APM the "stuff" they're doing is probably just random spam. For platinum or progamers, the 150+ APM is measure actions that serve a purpose.

Around 100. I do spam a lot in the beginning which gives me an average of 200+ but it goes down to 130-120 for the rest of the game.

I ranked in plat in the last reset and was top gold before that.

When I watch my replays, usually shows 40-60 average by the end. I usually average like 10-15 APM for first 2-3 minutes unless I start right clicking a few extra times with my scout.

I generally try to limit my unnecessary mouse clicks so I don't annoy other people around me. My mouse makes a kind of loud clicking noise which gets bad if I'm hitting it 2-3 times a second.. Oh and this is for gold league.

I tried APM spamming one game when no one was around, and felt like I was breaking my mouse (pretty low quality mouse)! Oh well :p.

i'm usually 110-130 apm in plat 1v1, i play zerg and i need to really multitask hard late game to keep up with macro. And i dont really apm whore spam at the start.. it's a steady amount through the entire game

Average something like 50~ apm, Rank 5 in Platinum (16-4). Low apm is partly due to the fact that my computer is TERRIBLE and simply can't keep up with my mouse if I spam clicks (will just lag out, not display mouse, etc.)

Another reason is due to the fact everyone rolled over and died to 3 warpgate a-move rush lol.
