It'd be cool if USA and Euro members of TL could coordinate to get something like this working. Once I pre-order mine, I'm just giving away my key.
Billing address has to be the same as shipping address as far as I understand. And there is a limit of 2 per address.
But wait, if I order in the USA, I won't be able to play on neither European nor American servers from Europe?

Well, you CAN of course play on the USA servers if you order the USA client. You'll have USA beta as well as USA retail. I simply assumed that Europeans who are pre-ordering the USA retail client are only doing it for the beta key. So they will play the USA beta, and then buy the European retail once it is released. I was simply making this assumption. Perhaps people will just stick to the USA server.
But what I was saying was simply ASSUMING that Europeans will buy BOTH USA and Euro clients for the sake of playing beta.
I just wish there was some way for our community to work together. It seems silly to have Europeans paying so much for shipping when someone in the USA would be able to help lower that cost.
Maybe some people in the USA would be willing to buy multiple copies of the game and then sell the keys back to Europeans who just want the beta key and plan to buy the European client later?
Then again, maybe European retailers will be giving out beta keys for pre-order in the coming days. Just throwing ideas out there!

Five hours? Try working 12 hours, with an added bonus that you haven't recieved your key yet. 23 hours going strong.

I ordered mine for in store pick up.. but I ordered it online. The website made it seem that I would receive my key via email, but I haven't yet (been over 36 hours). Do I need to bring my receipt to the store to get my beta key? That would be pretty lame, I'm at school right now and I signed up to pick up the game at my home town (5 hours away lol)

Yeah in-store requires you to go pick it up. You can cancel and re-order online though.

In one order, I bought two copies of SC2 assuming they would send me two beta keys. Well, 20 hours later, they've only sent me one? Did anybody who purchased two copies in one order receive two keys? And if so, did they come in the same e-mail or separate?
Thank you!

Yeah! Norway here, just got my beta key .

I pre-ordered online through gamestop at around 9pm last night. I just received my beta key at around 3:30pm today. Can't wait until I get home from work and play.

Question: I preordered online for in-store pickup. Will I recieve a beta key via email?

No, you'll have to pick up a receipt with the key printed on it.

TL is more useful than Gamestop's help email.. I just got a canned response from them.

This is atleast what everyone in the thread have said spanning over the last eight pages or so, and it seems to be correct. If you order with the "in-store pickup" you WILL HAVE TO pick up a receipt with the beta key, and not sit and wait for an e-mail.

Hey guys,
THIS IS FOR EUROPEANS (or well at least for UK) - but im pretty sure it applies to all.
I cant start a new thread as Im new, but I thought to let you know, you cannot get a beta key if pre-ordering from european amazon.
I sent an enquiry writing the following: Im contacting you to enquire about Starcraft 2 beta key, I know you can get a US beta key by pre-ordering at amazon.com or gamestop.com but i was wondering if this is the same for amazon.co.uk and whether you give beta keys (for european clients) out to pre-orderers?
They Replied this : Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk.
From your email, I understand that you enquire about the Beta key for the item "Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty".
I checked our records and I can see that our partner website Amazon.com provides a bonus offer to Participate in the "StarCraft II" Beta, as you have mentioned in your email.
However, at current we do not list any offers for the Beta key of this item.
Although we are affiliated, all offers with Amazon.com are independent of any offers with Amazon.co.uk.
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide information on promotions that we may run in the future.
Please check on our website regularly for information on special discounts and promotional offers.
We appreciate your understanding in this regards.
Thank you for shopping Amazon.co.uk
If someone could also post on SC2 forum as there are people enquiring about this - I cant post there myself as I dont have a beta key/access to it.
Cheers, hope this helps and hope they will give the beta key bonus to europe soon also

They will draw money from your account when they ship the game on release, not when you place the order.
