Just quoting the original post about nominations "Please post your nomination only in this thread ( http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=119922 ), and we will select 10 lucky winners."
Seems kinda dumb that it went from TL selecting winners to an arbitrary game like this. I think you guys should pick people from the remaining list be it random or otherwise.

There were 26 people opted in at the deadline, because I missed SkytoM's confirmation. I would laugh so hard if there were 25 keys. This is most probable seeing as ETT was trying to negotiate with silentguy. But because of human nature, silentguy decided to be stubborn.

Well that's what you get for shameless self promotion and nomination.

Same reason as the first person opted out, they hoped that the opt outs would get a key, perhaps from a pool and chosen at random. Otherwise they would of just ignored the thread then they would automatically be out, the fact that they responded means they had a strategy or a purpose in what they did.

Hey,
I originally self nominated myself cause i'm a bitch, and I'm not on the list...
Well who cares.
My major concern is that I thought that a quotation from this was funny but apparently not... ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
Good luck to the green names. I'll work my jokes better the next time. ![](/mirror/smilies/smile.gif)

So what was the number of available keys? By how much were people too greedy?
|
Inbefore everyone with their name crossed over get a key..
|
So, as this has ended, can you be so kind to tell how many keys were there ?
my guess is 5.
|
lol, this was bs competition.. Why are the people who nominate themseleves selfish? Doesnt make sense.. Who are they supposed to nominate? Some random stranger they know nothing about.. Its not a competition then.. If they had some friends in sc they could get friend invite.. If some people want beta why would they care if other dont get it if they cant have it..
I dont have beta and I didnt join any competition as I know its all pointless but I love the game and have watched tons of games and have better understanding of the game than some people I see streaming.. If you didnt get beta from blizzard or have friends into sc its gg until the real deal..
|
Now we really need to know the number that was needed to win the contest.( Please say 25, please say 25, that would make my day! )
|
Just woke up...
competition over i see

but one more question about this contest... what about the guys who haven't nominated themselves? will they get their (10?) keys or will this nomination-part of the contest be cancelled completely?

Read this all last night when I got back from Austin, but I was really tired and the thread was locked anyway.
Many of you guys probably aren't happy about the outcome, but check this out.

I have no idea if they didn't factor the absentee dropouts or if they predicted 50+ after all the factors, but regardless, you guys beat the prediction. Sure you didn't go all the way and not enough people dropped out, but you guys did good. You did okay.
I think that more than anything else, it's best to just realize what this thread has taught everyone. So what did it teach you?

Good morning all of those that competed and watched how everything played out. If you'd like to give you opinion on this whole process, I made a post wandering what everyone's feelings are now that is all over. Check it out if you'd like.

Yeah because being a good person and being liked by the community doesn't have benefits.

Just checking in to see the result after taking my name out.
I can't say I'm 100% surprised at the result, but I feel bad that in the end no one got a key from this. ![](/mirror/smilies/frown.gif)
@Hot_Bid: Will these self-nomination keys be put towards some other sort of contest/lottery/etc?

I love how, even after the contest failed with too many people standing their ground, there are yet more wishing they'd stayed in.
