To use it: 1) Download the base files you want and name them EUBase.SC2Data, USBase.SC2Data and/or AsiaBase.SC2Data, then put them in the same folder as your default base (Mods\Core.SC2Mod\). Do not rename your default base file (Base.SC2Data), just leave it there. 2) Place the batch file in the same folder as the StarCraft II executable, usually C:\Program Files\StarCraft II Beta\. 3) For convenience, right-click on the batch file -> Send to -> Desktop. This way you'll have a shortcut on your desktop for easier access. You can even change it to the StarCraft II icon in properties if you want to. What does it do?This script will rename the base files for you, run the game, and once you press any key in the batch window, rename the files back again to default (couldn't get it to do this automatically after SC2 is closed ). This means that you must not close the window manually, but follow the instructions. If you do close before they're renamed back again, you will be noticed by the script next time you run it so you can rename them back manually, so no big deal. If the batch file has been used correctly (as in not closing the window manually), you should be able to run SC2 the normal way in order to use your default base. You can however simply use the batch file at all times, as just pressing enter instead of choosing a region will run SC2 with your default base. If you are having any issues, tell me, and I'll try to fix and reupload. It's working perfectly for me at the moment, at least.
This is awesome, gonna add it to OP!

when i double click the bat file it opens in txt editor...

On May 14 2010 18:54 omninmo wrote: when i double click the bat file it opens in txt editor...
Hmm, the batch file doesn't have any line that should launch a text editor. However, batch files have the "Edit" option when right-clicked. My guess is that it runs "Edit" by default on double-click. Try right-clicking and choosing "Open". If that is the case, I found someone with the similar issue after a quick google: here.

Something (Vista/Firefox) renamed my .bat file to .bat.txt. If it's opening in a text editor, then you need to change it from .bat.txt to .bat. If it already ends in .bat, then you probably have file extensions set to hidden.
1) Go to your StarCraft 2 folder where your batch file is located. 2) Vista/(Win7?): Make sure your folder window is in focus (click on it) and hit alt 3) Go to Tools -> Folder Options 4) Go to View 5) Uncheck the box "Hide extensions for known file types" 6) Hit ok
You should now see .bat.txt at the end of your batch file. Erase the .txt part (when asked to confirm, hit yes). Now it should work. You can also reverse the steps above to hide file extensions again if you prefer.

Yes the batch still works
Edit: it's not the kind of thing that patching will make not usable
