If you make a new topic in the SC2 forum, it better be REALLY good. Otherwise you will get banned, no warnings.
Things that are good:
- New ideas (Think these through thoroughly or you will be banned for stupidity)
- New news
- New information
- Replays and streams
- etc
Things that are bad:
- WAH I lost to X unit, please nerf
- I have a one line question that google/search could solve
- I will make a topic that already exists, but I was too lazy to read or use the search
- ZvT/PvT/PvZ/PvP/etc help (use the strategy forum, make a proper post)
- hey my new site starcraftbestfriendsforever.com copy pasted all of teamliquid's articles, please come read them
Effort is rewarded, laziness is not. If you are new to teamliquid you better have some manner otherwise you will disappear.

There should probably be a short question/ quick answer thread. I don't think a lot of stupid starcraft 2 questions can be googled.

So i noticed something but I am too scared to make a new thread about it. I think that every Thursday since the release of the beta they have put out a balance patch. Today is Thursday. Anyways, thats it.

Good post I think we needed it, I try to keep one eye on SC2 and maintain a marginal interest but this section is usually so cluttered it's impossible.

Lol. I know what you mean, but I'm sure if you mention in your post that you read Mani's rules, and as long as your post isn't completely stupid/been discussed already, then it'll be fine.
I've seen so many of those one-liner OPs on this forum, so I can completely sympathise with what Manifesto is saying. So, as long as your thread has at least a little bit of thought put into it, I'm sure it won't be seen as a bannable offence.

maybe its pretty harsh to ban without warning. i mean a guy maybe read this and think he qualify all conditions then when he post maybe u have a different opinion in the grey area and bans him. sounds really unfair xd

Agreed with above posters, TL needs to remain a high quality SC discussion forum, and it's reassuring to know that the mods are holding themselves up to even higher standards than we should expect.

Wait till SC2 actually releases. This is just Beta. When they come, for strategy and general ass-hattery, in the actual release.... imma be laying low around this bitch cause bans are just gonna be gettin passed out in handfuls.

I'm guessing it will only get worse as we move more towards release. SC2 will bring in a new player base, and with it its share of idiots, unfortunately. That said, as a noob to this site myself it's nice to see a community with a decent signal to noise ratio, so I'm all in favor of eliminating stupidity.

It's a shame all good content is bumped down by either these.
1. Beta key contest ( USE BLOG)
2. Fancy beta key request (was fun for one. now its annoying)
3. Random beta tournament number 200 (though these might be considered actual content so it's kinda OK)
Just ignore point 3 I guesse. Tournaments should be heard of I think

Same for me. There is a three day trial before being able to post, but my account is at least a week old and I still can't make threads. Is there a certain post count you need or do you have to contact a GM?.. etc
