The ratings all depend on the division your in. The more people in your division the easier it is to gain rating. I am in a fairly small division with 17 people and had a rating of 1300, now I played a 1450 rating guy from division 1 a really large division. Even though his rating was higher I was favored, I don't know exaclty how this freaking system works but you also have to look at the size of the division and not just look at the ratings.

Do you ever wonder why someone like Pillars is #1 in his division, Yet Idra is struggling to even go better than 50%, and ranked like 40th in his division?? Maynard is head and shoulders above the skill of your average "modern" gamer. He is an RTS player, not someone who just watches BW replays and copies down the build orders like most modern SC players, cant do anything for themselves. You do know what "Maynarding" probes means? Wonder where that came from.. what are you talking about? im 4th with 75% win and i started laddering late cuz i didnt have my own key for a while.

Idra, are you going to go back to watching replays all day! These people like maynard etc actually "play" rts. I'm sure your mechanics, APM, multitasking ability and dedication is way behind these people who have been inactive for years and are at best C on iccup. Prepare to have every replay of you losing posted on everyone's blog.

with box and kiwi, that makes 3 wc3 players leading their divisions (just in us ladders). which makes artosis's OP look kinda lol. especially since everyone knows american war3 is much worse than euro war3, and I'm hearing that the top8 of most euro divisions is even between sc and wc3, about 3 notable players of each in top 8 for most divisions.

I really wish people would drop the whole SC vs WC3 players thing. It obviously didn't mean much. Really good SC players have sucked some dick in SC2, just like really good WC3 players did. And not too famous SC players are dominating SC2 ladders just like not too famous WC3 players are...There is no correlation. People putting the effort into SC2 are getting results. People who don't...Don't. And its already been said. The ladder rankings aren't very indicative of who is #1. Not to mention the fact that most of us aren't even seeing the Euro ladders. Most importantly, I wish that people would stop thinking of themselves as a WC3 player or a Starcraft player. What is so bad about just thinking of you as yourself, just a player? We're playing Starcraft 2 now. SC and WC3 are old news. There is no need to hold on to "us vs them" mindsets. I'm really with you on this one, people should be happy that all these RTS communities are merging together, no game has ever done this before. We shouldn't be hating on one another for playing some other game more than another game. All that matters is that everyone plays sc2 now ^_^
