Huh? It was a mistake. I don't see how that makes him unprofessional. IMO, he acted extremely professional about the whole thing - he explained what happened and rectified the problem best he could.

+ Show Spoiler +TLO is probably the only high level player that will BC someone so in IdrA's defense, he probably knew what to do but hasn't practiced against this and just didn't want to deal with this type of game. He GG's a lot when he knows he can win the series, it's just one game and why would he waste his energy and nerd rage gasoline on it. Smart decision apparently to just quit that game. Too bad TLO is out... :-/
Whats on the schedule for tonight BTW? Is it a regular daily or nothing until the 26th where the finals are held?

Dude you're retarded, did you watch the daily? Did you pay attention? The games were labeled wrong thats why this happened. Day[9] does this every day for free and is always VERY professional in every way. He even deals with pathetic UStream and what not crashing every day. Even if this was all his fault who cares, in my industry we have a saying and thats; "Sh#* happens, roll with it..."

Don't feed the troll, especially one that doesn't understand the English language.

So in Day9's latest twitter he links to the HMU homepage where I found that indeed they are publicizing the event on their front page as the Official StarCraft 2 launch party, pretty cool!
http://www.hmc.edu/specialinterestfeatures/oncampus/starcraft-2-release-party.html
Inside that I also noticed that JinkTV is mentioned as the producer for Day[9] TV, but the link to JinkTV goes to Day's blip.tv.
I can't find any other mentions about JinkTV (except for this blog where others have noticed it and asked about it) on TL, so the two thoughts I have right now that I thought might be discussion worthy are:
1. Is JinkTV a company name Day uses for his productions to use for tax reasons when tallying up income from blip.tv ads? I think this is a pretty common practice especially for people who work for themselves on a small-medium scale, and this way they can more easily get invites to media events, have discounts on new products, etc. The Razer sponsorship comes to mind, but then again Razer is just a great company when it comes to supporting competitive gaming; I remember when they shipped me several nice mice and swag for a 100 man LAN I was running years ago
2. Could JinkTV be something new that Day hasn't yet announced to us, perhaps his over-arching "channel" for any dailies or tournament hosting/casting he does post-release?
Anyway I'm probably looking way too much into this, but I found it interesting it's mentioned a couple times on that HMU announcement and hasn't been mentioned on TL ever before

His raging lameness doesn't make him seem any more pro either. + Show Spoiler +As for NP saying that game proves something is sad. All it proves is idra's poor timing and micro since not only once he had the bc's mced and couldn't use them properly. To top it off the final atack he had a chance, but went in with no energy and mc-ed the same bc twice...
I'm not saying anything about who the winner should have been but turning this into a rant about zerg is silly. You don't just expect NP to counter every high tier unit under every circumstance do you ? + Show Spoiler +I expect NP to hard counter capital ships and other massive T3 units. If it doesn't do that, it has no value. Do you not expect Storm to counter marines? Or cloaked Banshees to counter an opponent without detection? It's even worse now in NP's case because Zerg are required to build an Infestation Pit, even though it's now very common than Infesters will have no value to a Zerg army.
The point is simple enough...if Idra had a Spire instead of an IP in Game 2, he wouldn't have lost. Unfortunately, Blizzard makes the decision unfairly weighted.
As for you feeling that Idra is mediocre, other than calling you mean names insulting your intelligence, I don't have much of a response. + Show Spoiler + 1. idra had a spire since midgame 2. if you think a 12 second "stun" + the dmg they deal for you is not enough for a 100 energy spell then seriously never comment on anything in the game again. apparently 4 infestors should > 5+ cruisers to make you happy.
+ Show Spoiler +
1. Go watch the replay; he started building the Spire when he saw the BC. He had no time to switch over to Corrupters safely.
2. Yes, in theory, four Infesters should almost counter eight BCs, assuming the controller of the BCs doesn't attack the Infesters. The NP nerf was stupid, as is the Zerg tech tree right now.

It's not the infester vs. BC that really matters. It's more what else could be done with 100 energy on an infester:
1. One 12 sec NP on a BC is 12 seconds of time for the BC to attack another BC. 6 damage a shot -3 armor at a rate of one shot per .23 seconds is 13.33 DPS (TLO had no air upgrades).
2. 4 Infested terran is 30 seconds of time for them to attack the BC. 8 damage a shot - 3 armor at a rate of one short per .86 is 23.23 DPS (Idra had no ground ranged attack upgrades).
Now even assuming a perfect split of half NP and half not BCs and counting the incoming as well as the outgoing damage that's still only 26.66 DPS for 12 secods or 320 total damage while the infested terran is 697.03 Infested terran is a base skill and requires no research costs. Why should NP ever be worse against the exact type of unit it's designed for: high HP, high DPS, high cost, Tier 3 units? Now before you go and point out that it's possible to just move the BCs away from the infested terran I'll remind you that that's exactly what TLO did to help counter the NP so that really applies to both spells. Let's assume that the range differences and movement actually make it a wash between the two, why ever pay to research NP then?
Honestly I do think x infester with 100 energy and NP researched should be > 2x BCs, Carriers, Thors, or Colossi if they're unsupported and just 1A into the Zerg line. That's exactly the situation NP is supposed to defend against.

well it's confirmed at least, just not fully announced yet... from the TL front page article Gansters of Beta:
TeamLiquid.net: Do you have any solid plans for after the tournament that we should know about? Day9: I’ve been devoting all my time and more to the live event. You know, I don’t want to think about Plan B when I have Plan A right in front of me. I’m really excited for the event and want to make it awesome, so it’s receiving my complete focus.
I am in the final phase of putting together a site with all my content on it, everything I do in one central location. And I miss playing, so I’m going to go ahead and do that. I really, really like playing StarCraft.

Not to mention you can just kill the Infestors outright. They're slithering target practice. While killing a whole slew of Infested Marines is a much greater task.
What I really don't get is that I haven't even seen any situations where the old NP was a problem. It seems like they just slapped that time limit on without thinking about it.

While I do agree that the 12 second duration on NP is not needed, they added that duration the same patch that they let NP work against flying units again.
So either there was some exploit they wanted to fix, or Blizzard thinks NP against air is really strong.

I don't even know what to think of such an asinine comment.
