I very casually played Warcraft 3 online, just plinked around on 2v2s a lot, lots of custom maps, a few 1v1s, but nothing serious. That said, I always enjoyed the RTS experience. It's something I always thought I could be good at, but I could never find the time for it. I always, always had a healthy respect for Starcraft and the people who played it at the top tier - everything I saw of it said skill, and precision. It's why I watched SC2 develop and grow, and it's why I was overjoyed to get a beta key. I was so nervous starting out on SC2, terrified, but loved watching things like Husky and HDstarcraft play and commentate and then watch these great players show what they'd practiced. I then found your Stream. I've watched every video on your Day9 daily, and seriously watched. I let it all soak in. There was enthusiam, a brilliant mentality, and just a joy in the game. All these things combined has made me want to, basically, get involved. Starcraft was always the pinnacle of eSports, and eSports represented my hobby epitomised. What you've done with your Dailies, what you've shown me, and what you've just taught with your story has made me think "This is something I want to be a part of, and there's no better time to get involved." I feel like I'm late to a party, but I feel instead of this big concrete wall saying "you'll never catch up", instead there's wide open gates that say - if you put the effort in, you can be one of these great players who are so skilled at something, and that it will be enjoyable. I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I have one word for this Daily, and just your attitude to Starcraft, Starcraft 2, and eSports in general. It's inspiring. I thank you for that. Keep on being bjuejelar.

We as fans of Day9 should start a project to spread how amazing starcraft and eSports is to everyone we know. Personally I'm going to make a goal to hype an upcoming tournament to at least 5 people who never play StarCraft and don't follow eSports, who's with me?

also, good to note that there was 0 lag in your cast. i watched that cast with like 4 or 5 of my friends here at college. we all thought it was amazing, the fact that you poured out your life story. also, it was a really long cast, but i don't think anyone minded at all.
