I think the in general, to defend drops, you are suppose to have good map awareness. Such as having good observer placement to see when he load unit into medivac or spot drops coming from the side. Also keep good eye on minimap like always so you can warp in earliest when possible. The other, is to not bind all unit into 1 group. Learn how to manage and split your army accordingly to defend drop. It will take a while to know the exactly amount needed to defend 1 medivac. | ||

I won't spoil anything but some of the subject matter that the game touches on toward the end is truly disturbing stuff. And for those of you who think I'm easily scared, think again. I'm pretty immune to 'scary' games these days, no modern release since REmake on Gamecube (which is now a decade old) has scared me (until Amnesia!). | ||

I'm a big fan of Day[9], I watched most of the video's (#100 being the favourite) and I find the newbie tuesdays to be the most beneficial for me in conjunction with reading the builds on Team Liquid and watching live streams. I only recently started browsing the TL site, as, like alot of people, I have lived in a cave all my life  I realise where I fall down in the game (Low APM, scouting, experience) but as I have limited time to play the game, I have to be realistic as to how far I can go in terms of league play. Anyway, I like the Steal this Build stream, and in an effort to contribute to the community I thought I would share with people a funky build I came across yestererday while watching an expert play. I watched Liquid'Tyler's stream last night and he made mention of Day[9] at the start of the stream, saying that he was going to try to have fun playing the game. Anyway, due to inactivity he had to requalify for ladder placement on europe (5 games) and then climb the ladder. In one of the (many) games he was paired vs protoss and in several games he used a funky build I had not seen before. Tyler went Phoenix/cannon and then pushed with Phoenix/Observer/ Mass DT once he had expanded enough to sustain DT production. I think there were at least 2 games of this. The idea was to harrass with phoenix's and then move out with observers/DT's. The phoenix's killed the opponents observers which meant that the DT's had free reign. The build was completely new to me, so its probably new to alot of other people as well. Just thowing it out there as a prospective Steal This Build. best regards & keep up the good work. from reading the above posts i guess im going to be laughing at these Amnesia streams.
