It's a university one, I'm not certain what speed it is though, never bothered to speedtest.net it...
Yeah, I guess I don't have other options. Damn Chinese Firewall.

Are the vods up yet? Can't seem to find them!

There are 4 parts up on Day9's blip tv site. I have no idea if that are all parts he did until now, though...
Edit: Actually it says they are all from Nov. the 1st, so proably incomplete, right?

Amnesia VODs will be done uploading soon! I'll awaken tomorrow to see thousands of additional views of my delightful shame :D.

I love your Dailies and other shenanigans. I used to stay up to like 4 in the morning UK time and risk not making it to lectures the next day just to become a better gamer/a more hilarious gamer. I browse your archives on a daily basis for reliving those gems of memories.
Thing is, now I live in China where Twitch is blocked, Youtube is blocked, blip.tv is blocked, and even the podcast link in iTunes is blocked (can subscribe but shows up empty and won't download anything).
I have a VPN but it is slow and crap and nowhere enough to enjoy your works of art in even 360p glory. I was wondering if anyone knows any other methods of accessing Day[9] (free if possible) in China, and if not, would it be possible for someone to distribute Dailies through BitTorrent, given Mr. Sean Plott's permission, of course?
Sincerely
When I was in China a few years ago, I used Ivacy as my VPN. You have to pay for it, but its not really that bad for what you get out of it. You can use it to download the stuff that gets blocked or get around stuff, although streaming stuff might be difficult. I think with Ivacy + Flashgot, you can download to your computer, and watch at your leisure.

Sucks.
I meant flashgot btw, not getflash. Good luck.

Watching this VOD is probably the best way I could've imagined spending a night when insomnia got the best of me. Pant-shitting ahoy!
Also, it's really amusing/interesting to compare Day's runthrough to someone like Scoots who was just charging the shit out of everything.

Somehow it feels like Day9 is making himself suffer playing amnesia, I hope he is doing that because he wants to and not just to please viewers.
But it's very very funny.
|
Watching Day9 play Amnesia is so awesome :D. I understand his fear since i just finished the game myself a week ago xD.
Manly of him streaming it! Just wish i could see it live
|
Everyone should play Amnesia once in their life. The Brave Ones play it in front an audience.
|
I ate just before watching the amnesia videos. Now I'm feeling so nauseous and I almost want to throw up, but I can't stop watching.
|
God watching Day9 play this game is so addictive. Can't wait for the next stream session.
|
Ahahah that playthrough is amazing. ~6 minute into part 5 I cracked up so bad. I love how he has to take those breaks to not freak out.
"I'm actually too scared to move" I was like RUN MOTHERFUCKER! RUN! This game is pretty awesome though.

I am just 7 minutes into the VOD of part 5 and i just want to very cautiously ask if anyone has doubts that his reactions are legit? Please don't get me wrong, i think sean is awesome and i would never question his credibilty, and i know he is an emotional guy and really gets scared fast and so on, but i may have the slightest feeling, that he might exaggerate on his scare a bit to provide more entertainment value for his viewers... anyone else felt sth similar or am i just an empathy noob?
|
Yeah, at first during the 5th part something did seem a bit off but after that there is no way he wasn't scared for real.

I would advise you to try the game yourself. I tried playing the predecessor (Penumbra), and barely got anywhere before I had to stop because the fear was too strong. And I'm usually not very easily affected by creepiness.
Add headphones and darkness, and you've got a recipe for complete paranoia. The Amnesia/Penumbra creators are absolute freaks to have pulled off such scariness, I tell you.

Just seen the first night of him playing Amnesia, so awesome!!
