I'm going to start posting in this thread in the hopes that it will force me to start working out again.

Goal Date: April 1st

The idea being to loss 15 more pounds as fast as possible and start to bulk up so that I have some muscle before summer break starts. I started trying to get fit at the beginning of school (beginning of September) and I was at 195 then. I got to 180 in middle of November, but I haven't lost any weight since then because of a vacation to Montreal, then Thanksgiving, then really busy with school work, and now Christmas time.

What I did to lose my initial 15 pounds was to cut out desserts from my diet, only drink water or hot tea without creamer and real sugar, and to go to the gym three times a week doing the treadmill or elliptical machine for 45 minutes. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Right now my diet is pretty bad, I'm snacking all the time but I've been going to the gym 3 to 4 times a week now that I'm on break, so I have not been gaining weight. I tried to cut out snacks from my diet today, but I found I was really hungry throughout the day and could not make it. From my last time cutting out snacks I found the first 3 to 7 days are a real bitch, but after that its pretty easy. Are there any ways to make that process easier?

Instead of snacking, just keep eating all day. I eat ~5 meals a day and i never get hungry. Granted i'm trying to gain weight but the concept still applies, Eat every 2-3 hours of something filling and you'll be fine. A scoop of peanut butter + apple and milk fills you up quite easily. A hearty deli should last you a few hours too. This will also help keep your metabolism going all day. Cut out the snacks, soda, and shit like that combined with daily cardio will shave off the pounds.
how reasonable is it to eat off wood instead of your tummy?

I have gone from 80.5 kilo to currently 75.8 in 2 months.

I began football pre-season with my local AFL club. Note - AFL is Australian Football League

Hardcore running with minimum 6km per night 2 NIGHTS A WEEK usually Mon + Wed and another nigth is optional depending on each person!!!. This includes warm up ru nof 2-3k, boxing and skills (skills about 1km) followed by an end session of 2-3k worth of 600m runs with 100m slow jog or walk before starting again. The end session could be made up of 3-4 1km runs too at a pace above jogging!!!

The club may swap it around and do all running such as 2-3k warm followed by 5km Hill runs + SPRINTS, followed by 2-3k run back to start. This can be done every 2nd week on one night.

See how you go.. its full on and if your not fit you must push yourself to the max.

I also try to get to gym outside training 1-2 nights per week + eat health.

Diet:

Morning - Oats + Apple

Lunch - 2 x ham + cheese sandwhich + protein bar or shake

Snack - yoghurt, protein bars, banana, apples, protein chips or something decent but not too bad.

Dinner - Whatever i want BUT only 1 night a week of shit foods. I try to have chicken, pasta, steak etc on a different night with veg or rice.

Not a hardcore diet.. BUT ITS CLEANER THAN MOST!

Always include the protein shake on non work out days. I will post a photo of myself after the full pre-season which ends April. 5 months of pain

currently i'm drinking about 1-1.5L of milk a day + whey (so basically it's a protein shake). i have it for breakfast, in between meals and after dinner. since i'm trying to lean out, should i decrease my milk intake??

Lean out... i would recommend having whey protein with 1-1.5L of water rather than milk if you want to lean out...

What do others think?

lean out? Eat less food and exercise. You're not going to get leaner by consuming more calories and getting fatter.

i've already started consuming less calories for lunch and dinner. i suppose i'll just decrease the milk in my shake to half until i figure out what to eat in between meals, then i'll proly save the shakes for after workouts.

1/6 pound cheeseburger on whole wheat bun with french fries cooked in the oven

Baked breaded chicken with letuce and shreaded Mexican cheese in a whole wheat tortilla shell

Peanut butter and jelly sandwich on whole wheat bread

Dinner:
Pizza, chicken, and hamburger meals mentioned above

Pasta with plain sauce, with one slice of whole wheat cheese bread

Those are my most common meals, of course it varies week to week with other meals.

Dude, you're eating like 60-70% carbs. Drop that down to at least 20-30% if not lower.

Eat healthier -- only fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, meat, fish, fowl, eggs. Maybe dairy.

Butter is healthy fats for you if you don't have a heart condition. Eat it. I don't think I have to tell you that breaded stuff or random frozen food is not very good either.

More protein, more healthy fats (nuts, seeds, avocados, coconut, olive oil, coconut oil, etc.) and drop down the carb levels.

yeah i was working towards doing 100. not working out for like 2 weeks in combination with lots of feasting during the festive season is not very good for your body.
