Two seasons ago you had both City and PSG in danger of getting knocked out before the final game though (either team would've been out if they had lost) - that's when PSG ended up winning.
Norway getting 4 points vs Bayern and Dortmund is pretty sweet! Hmm, yeah. I guess I should pick some favorites from the mid tier and start cheering for them. Bodo is the obvious long term underdog, but maybe there are some other fun ones somewhere in there too.
And it can get exiting for top tier ones too, but they have to fumble a lot of stuff over a longer period of time before the threat starts to materialize.

Today, 40 goals in 9 games lol. Bodø-Glimt with a honorable 3-4 loss away vs Napoli. 3 points after 3 of the 4 toughest games is okay.

Pissed at Stuttgart. Should have won that easily...

Also, only 2 out of 9 games are total blowouts results wise. The rest seem pretty competitive games at least on the scoreboard.

honestly at this point we should just find another team to support until the glazers and ineos are gone because nothing's going to change as long as they're still the owners. the same song and dance since ever ferguson retired. it's incredible how ferguson was able to win a champions league under the glazer ownership.

supporting man utd is turning me into a cancer patient for sure

What's the 3rd best club in Manchester area (ignoring all the current drama with the two big ones)?
Also, Carrick looks like he has given up. The clips I've seen he's just standing on the sideline looking miserable.
Also, Harry Kane is a pretty good footballer. Crazy versatility.

Out of curiosity, I looked at the actual teams in Manchester region. Apparently Bolton is in Manchester region and plays in championship.

How long can Man U keep hiring as if they are a top 2/3 club in the country? I mean obviously they are still the biggest club in the world or thereabouts. I understand that, but they are already having to go a few steps below world class in hiring players, and I have no idea for how long their income can withstand overpaying players to come play for them to try and make up the gap, and given how managers tend to come away from the job, I'd be surprised if they can continue to attract good managers, too.

i would guess that the allure of being the guy to bring an epl/cl trophy back to the club would be pretty big for any manager. its not like they dont get paid well compared to other clubs so id imagine there will always be someone lining up for the job

Bournemouth dominated AC Milan in a European competition. Kind of a mental concept, let alone reality. Blow to the pride of Serie A for sure (Como's win notwithstanding)

Even Amorim had a pretty good laugh at that one.
