This is not an easy thematic at all... And I think we are getting to a point where everything is Racism. And when everything is Racism, it looses the power of the people that are fighting actively against that.

Mbappe is a lot of things but he doesn't cause on-field drama... So if he did then it's real

Hold up, even if Vini was provoking people, does that mean he deserves to get things thrown at him? I understand jeering and people telling him off from the stands, but how did we get to justifying assault?
How do we know that Mbappe is lying? Is that really the thoughts we go to directly in these moments? Why are the fans also making monkey gestures to him then if it's not racism? Even if the player himself did not say something racist, it's ok for the fans to do it? I'm really not sure what you're trying to get at.

I mean if Prestianni said something racist, it’s hardly exaggeration or over-sensitivity.
Perhaps he did not, or it was a misunderstanding, it’s certainly possible.
On the flipside I don’t think much of the response from the Benfica camp, especially from Mourinho was reasonable. It’s one thing to defend your player when there isn’t conclusive evidence, but I think completely dismissing the possibility while implying that Vini brings it on himself is pretty repugnant.

I think I've asked about this before in some shape or form, but do you have any interesting notions on teams outside the obvious big ones in Serie A and La Liga? I have pretty good access to both leagues and I'd love to understand a bit more about the teams that are not the big three of La Liga.
I guess Serie A as a whole is quite messy currently with a lot of potential teams battling for UCL and even the league title. La Liga seems to have a lot of regional rivalries, traditions and all that going on.
Any recommendations on which teams to follow, which derbies and rivalries to keep an eye and so on? In Italy Como seems to be flying quite high currently, any what's going on in there?

I'm uterly upset about this all situation due to the way that Benfica handled it and I clearly overreacted here. But there's a reason why players get booked when they provoke the fans of the opposing team, because things can get messy really easy.
Regarding Mbappé he is clearly lying because at the end of the game he heard Prestianni calling Vinicius "Mono" 5 times.
This has already been thoroughly scrutinized and all of the videos have been reviewed and everything that Prestianni said in the game was mapped, except for the 1 second that he has the shirt in front of his mouth.
He clearly said something very wrong, perhaps he called Vinicius "mono", and if he did, he needs to be severly penalized, but mbappé is lying... I think he can get away with this because it's the biggest club in the world vs Benfica, and he said it to support what Vinicius is saying.
Any decision that comes out of this will be very controversial because of lack of proof. And Prestianni was already judged by the world, lead by Henry and Micah Richards, and found guilty, even without getting to the bottom of this.

If we’re to lose to anyone I’d like it to be Bodo, but still hoping that is t the case!
I suppose one silver lining is if we exit it’ll make winning Serie A more likely. Last season was one I imagine I’ll recall more easily than many when I’m in old age, but going so deep in every competition was probably a factor in us ultimately ending up empty-handed!
I’m sure there’s examples from the European Cup days, but in the CL era it’s only Leverkusen I can recall that lost the CL final, finished second in the league and their domestic cup
I’m probably atypical as a fan but I’d definitely take the ‘silver treble’ over winning a domestic cup, or a second tier European competition.

Loll 0-2 - this one was pure class.
Like not gonna lie, Inter has three hits in the post across the games and they easily could have scored a lot of goals with just some tiny bit of luck - and slightly better finishing. Just now one of their players flat out missed the ball when in a golden spot. But Glimt's goals are pure class. Players like Hauge and Evjen are top notch players.
and now Inter finally scored but lol even that looked like a miracle squandering for a second.

To semi-final probably (unless they get Bodoed), but then there's at least Atletico and Barca. PL is also going to keep them pretty busy, so I don't necessarily expect complete walkovers on the 'easier' opponents either.

Dortmund may have botched their CL tie but they have a huge opportunity in the Bundesliga this weekend. If they knock off Bayern, the gap narrows to 5 points and there will be real belief.
