We looked better in spells today, some great attacking style but some switching off moments and some terrible subs from Potter and we splutter over the line for a 1-1 draw. Zyiech should not be near the club, he wanted to go to PSG and just doesn't suit any kind of style we want to play as a winger. Cucurella has just turned into such a poor left back and has 0 confidence and needs rest of the season off to get his head straight like Sancho got at Yanited. Loftus Cheek just is not a top level player either. Oh well, we go into the next game and hype ourselves up and see what happens, at least we scored today, scored 3 actually 2 were offside (correctly given i think, Kai one was very close) | ||

I guess the VAR decided the defender went to ground in an attempt to block the shot and the arm was supporting him as he fell, so it is not a penalty. Edit: Not saying I agree, but I think that is the argument. | ||

I don't like how the rule is applied here, but there is an argument that it's by the book. I think the rule is supposed to protect players from handballing while falling down or performing a slide, but I'm not sure how you'd define those without leaving some room for vague interpretation. | ||
