Spurs look to be solidying into a really decent side rather quickly under Conte. I know his European record historically isn’t great but I’d fancy Spurs to be the more dangerous of the two if they qualify

I’m not sure the process will ever fully deliver, sadly. Not because I think Arteta’s a bad coach, it’s just rare that you see teams full of young improving talent be allowed to keep developing. If you’re a ‘big club’ anyway, down the table fans have some patience, I doubt they’ll have it over at Arsenal for too long. I could see them ending up as a Dortmund 2.0, always exciting, full of talent and on the cusp of something, always having to reset and replace that young talent year after year Klopp did get given the time (and Virgil van Dijl) to build up a mediocre squad over years, but it’s pretty rare these days.

His current contract runs out next year. He is currently 33 years, so this situation is kinda reminding me of those moves of Ronaldo and Messi. His expected salary can probably not be shouldered by many clubs, so there are most likely already some pre-agreements. German media rumors Barca, but neither from the financial side nor from the general philosophy this would really make sense. Building around an aging Lewa would go kinda contrary to their current rebuild philosophy. And well, then there is the question if Bayern lets him go on a free in a year or if they try to monetize him this summer. And who they are looking for as a replacement. The natural reaction would be to buy the best Dortmund player for the position, but Haaland is already gone. So if they want to buy in the Bundesliga, this would probably point at Patrick Schick. The guy had an awesome Euro and a stunner of a season, but would they really trust him to lead Bayerns attack?

Hell, if anything from the NLD, we actually had the refs on our side to not give Holding two deserved yellows far earlier than he got them. Still can't believe Arteta left him in I just see it as friendly banter ^^ . I rewatched the replay of the foul that lead to the penalty, for me its not so clear as commentators made it look like.

No ear cupping celebration for Mount this time. Feel bad for Thiago Silva, played through basically the whole game injured only to lose last gasp.
