If they just draft whichever monster falls on their lap like last year, they could become a SB contender!

I suggest this Araiza guy punt in the CFL. His leg strength would be amazing on the giant CFL field. Also, there is a lot more punting in the CFL than in the NFL. Warren Moon played in the CFL for 5 years before he could get a job in the NFL. Dwayne Casey had to coach basketball in Japan even though he was exonerated and cleared. Eventually Dwayne Casey got an NBA job and eventually became an NBA head coach. The thing I love about both Casey and Moon... ZERO WHINING about how they got fucked over and how "the system" is against them. They just kept moving forward. What happened to Araiza is wrong... but he can recover if he is willing to do absolutely anything to rebuild his career. If Canada is too cold for him or its not enough money I'll have a hard time listening to any non-stop stream of tears and/or whining. Also, it should be noted that Warren Moon played in the coldest city in the CFL: Edmonton.

Conference realignment is going to be crazy soon. Depending on how this year and next goes, there might be some drastic changes to the playoff. Right now we're probably looking at only Big10 and SEC teams in the playoff. Big12 MIGHT get a chance, but with Texas and OU going to the SEC, they're probably getting left out. Thoughts?

dissolves into the Power 2 in the next 10 years until minor league football becomes a thing most believable alternative is that football becomes its own separate thing unrelated to other sports and other sports fall back into regional play. like football has its own conference and all other sports have their own

The business model of RSNs is already broken. Those channels are just massively overpriced for the eyeballs they generate. And there are so many colleges that most of their games are going to be on RSNs. Games on national tv will keep increasing in value while games that are not will go down. People will watch the big sporting events but there are so many other entertainment options that only the most hardcore will watch the championship contender versus cupcake team games on RSNs. There is merit to the suggestion for football to become its own thing while other sports fall back into regional play. But the athletic departments of big football schools are drunk on football money. They're throwing some of that football money into other sports and they're going to have a hard time paring those back.
