Ladies and gentlemen.... Its.... Liverpool fans! Doing what they do best. By which I mean massively overreacting to stuff and feeling sorry for themselves. Jordan Pickford has reportedly hired bodyguards after receiving death threats for his tackle on Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk. Earlier this month, the Everton goalkeeper was responsible for the poorly-timed challenge which left Van Dijk with an ACL injury and looks set to sideline the Dutchman for the remainder of the Premier League season. Pickford escaped punishment but was heavily criticised in professional quarters, with Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp venting his frustration and Reds midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum describing the tackle as ‘stupid’. But more seriously, it has emerged the England No.1 received numerous death threats over the incident, which are being investigated by Merseyside Police. As a result, the Daily Mail reports the 26-year-old has hired a security firm to watch over his house in Cheshire, where he lives with his wife and his one-year-old son. It is claimed Pickford and his family have been advised to stay off social media in order to avoid giving away their location. | ||

Difference is Liverpool as fans do not do this kind of thing if you read them in press and what not, they are the righteous club that is how they like to be portrayed. As you just wrote it is wrong though, and they do the death threats and racism just as every other club fans do in the world. | ||

Pretty much every team that got far in Europe last season seems to have had some trouble at the start of the season (for bayern, going 7-0-1 qualifies as that, too), but now most of them seem to be hitting their strides again. | ||

Now he seems to be earning his place in the starting 11 quite alright. im personally not that surprised by mctominays development because he has always striked me as a disciplined work horse type player, and thats perfectly suited to his position in front of the back 4. on top of that he has carrick as a coach and plays with matic, who were both in their prime very great cdms. that being said mctominay still has some way to go with his passing and ball retention to get to carricks level. im hoping after a few years he becomes experienced enough to single handedly cover the defense against weaker teams so that we can actually field a midfield like fernandes/pogba ahead of a cdm | ||

also Fred needs to start more games. OGS did something that lit a fire in his ass and he needs to keep going. Sell Pogba if you need to. | ||
