I think McTominay also benefits a lot from playing defender for Scotland. Last international break he played fullback and right centre back when Scotland played 3/5 at the back. Helps him to see the game from their perspective as well. He's quickly taking the mantle from Matic as the de facto CDM balancing the more attacking minded players around him.

Koeman might find it is his privileges that are over rather than Messi's.

West Ham clearly missed Antonio, he's been in such good form. Would have put significantly more pressure on Liverpool's debutante centre back and Gomez than Haller did.

Also Zlatan must surely be the (by far?) best 39 year old ever.. 7 goals 1 assist in 4 games.. when you don't have speed as your main strength I guess you can play a lot longer, but still.

I guess only cr7 can be good aswell at 39. I don't see that for messi.
