Big crazy deal as expected 🤣 Cowboys, Prescott agree to reported 4-year, $160M deal https://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/2129658 Dak secured that bag. 40M/year seems unfathomable to me. That’s like getting paid 20k/hr on regular work hours.

Tom Brady has reached an agreement with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a four-year contract extension that voids to a one-year extension. The deal ties Brady to Tampa through the 2022 season, sources tell Adam Schefter.

$12,159,000 contract with the New Orleans Saints, including a $9,686,000 signing bonus, roster bonus of $1,439,000, $12,159,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $12,159,000. Cap hit of $8,410,200 and a dead cap value of $16,159,000. To save 7.5 million it means his cap hit is only going to be ~900k in the 2021 season. So that's less than his roster bonus. An obviously his agent isn't going to let and of that $12,159,000 go away, so was that somehow put onto the 2020 cap? But, all the sources I found say that they only had ~8.5 million in cap room going into the 2020 season, and that number decreased to ~4 million by the end of the playoffs. So it seems something magical is going on.
