I put Wilson on the elite QB category. He can extend plays and make miraculous throws from them—Part of which contributes to Metcalf and Locketts production. Carson would be quite solid with any QB though.

Wilson is for sure elite, he is just severely underutilized in the sense that the Seahawks will enter the game with one mindset: either throw the ball, or run the ball. Wilson would be at the same level of Mahomes if they actually allowed him to mix up styles mid-drive and throw off defenses.

Exactly. Patriots invested in their OL to protect Brady. Given enough time, he can find open, minimum salaried WRs and undrafted RBs. Seahawks invest in their skill position players but are dependent on Wilson running around in the backfield behind their revolving door OL while waiting for somebody to get open.

What boggles the mind is that the Seahawks think that a run heavy approach works best with that kind of personnel philosophy.

I'm sure Russ doesn't want to throw shade at certain position groups but there are 2 things that have been proven time and time again in the NFL:
1. It is better to spend money and draft picks on the OL and go cheap on skill positions.
2. Run heavy approach doesn't work as well as pass heavy, especially in today's age with more sophisticated passing offenses. Seahawks offense is just too outdated. You're also wasting a good qb with that kind of system. Tony Dungy wasted most of Peyton Manning's prime with that approach. They couldn't win in the playoffs because they kept running the ball first and then asking Manning to do his thing already down 2-3 tds.

Wilson is not the only expensive qb in the league. Taking a huge amount of cap space is all the more reason not to have him hand the ball over on most possessions.

I know most of the information is forthcoming, but when there are 12 accusations and counting...it doesn't look good. I'm gonna take a wild guess that he's played his last snap in the NFL. In which case, lol @ the Texans, trading away all their picks and good players to "build" around him, then pissing him off, then getting nothing for him.

That would be like the best possible outcome if true. Sadly, I think it's far more likely he's been a superstar his whole life and doesn't know the meaning of the word no.

so recently i've been playing ncaa football 14 again with the college football revamped mod (doing an army dynasty right now) and it's made the game more exciting (not that it wasn't awesome already). the next update coming this weekend is adding RPO plays to the game and it looks amazing.
