Someone else was talking about FFP in the Championship and that requires me to be far more sober than I am now to discuss. Yes it should apply to clubs right now in the Championship but clubs are definitely deficit spending in the Championship and why this is allowed I would not only have to be more sober but do some research to find out.
Edit: 1 google search on the matter reveals The Mail's headline 'Championship clubs made combined operating loss of more than £510m last year as staggering cost of Premier League dream is revealed.'
This is a well known about problem and why FFP doesn't get involved more is less well known at least to me. The losses in The Championship lower leagues and basically all the football world if not all sport must be unbelievable right now. Clubs actually guilty of breaking FFP might get off free because the Covid virus is causing a worldwide catastrophe in sporting income right now.
Forest got punished for FFP a couple of years ago with a transfer embargo. It does happen. The sad fact is you can avoid the punishment by getting promoted (EPL has no interest in EFL rules) so teams gamble EVEN MORE because of that.

BOTH van Dijk and Allison have made crucial mistakes - liverpool arsenal fixture is really cursed isnt it? haha

And there ends Liverpool hopes of getting 100 points xD
They literally look like they have been partying 24-7 haha, wonder what Klopp thinks about this.

Actually they had tons of bad luck in all their matches. But not surprised you dont know anything about football

No idea if this person is a legit source but...

Pretty sure they don't care at all. They would have if not for Rona IMO, but as is, next season ist packed already so they can use games now to try stuff out and goof of.
Would love my home team Stuttgart to pick up Götze/ Schürrle. They do have enough quality for some midfield Bundesliga play at least

They are not trying anything different, do people even watch Liverpool or look how animated Klopp is on the sidelines still going mad, being his usual self? He wants to win still him getting the 100 points achievement means way more to him than the players it seems.... but lets just call it corona is the problem!
Yes they dominated the game but the chances they created were easy chances to score from in which they failed, salah header from 3 yards out he just completely miss heads it straight to keeper lol. That isn't corona or anything that is them being poor because of im gonna guess too much partying.
If they are not up for the game vs Chelsea next week after having 7 days off and on the trophy lift then i don't know what is going on there.

While the year we won it we were a defensive masterclass team, we got robbed and "unlucky" as you would say in at least 3 runs....
Getting screwed by 2 referees and then this "ghost goal" against Liverpool which never existed and proven.

Looking at ManCity for example I see the problem. In Germany not a single club would really profit. Or atleast wouldn't have profited this season. Bayern as the richest club had half their U18 on the bench for a few games because of a small roster +injuries.
No idea how severe the issue would be in Spain, Italy and France.

It also means if it's a close game and one team is up one goal, we will have to endure 10mins of pure subs made in the last minutes/overtime. Yay.
Footi stopping time when?

I have it on good authority Klopp has stuck up printouts of Panda’s posts that Liverpool have been out on the piss in the dressing room to motivate players.
As for 5 subs yeah I agree it’ll benefit the big boys more than the rest. This season’s schedule is going to be pretty heinous on players though so I don’t necessarily mind it from a player welfare view.
I suppose it’s a system that could be gamed but why not have substitutes for an injured player not subtract from your allotment? Presumably injuries are going to be even more commonplace if players are playing constantly this season and it wouldn’t benefit clubs with more resources than others?
|
But shouldn't the goal be to prevent injuries instead of making them hurt the team less during one match?
|
Most rules that benefit player welfare will generally seems to disproportionately favor big clubs. That doesnt mean that its a bad thing overall.
Something that is a common good is still a common good if its benefiting smaller teams and giving frigne players in smaller clubs an avenue or path to opportunity so there is are several silver linings there. Overall its a good thing.

Footi stopping time when? 5 subs, but only 3 sub opportunities + 1 extra sub opportunity in overtime (no extra subs). Subs during half time, fulltime or overtime half time don't count as a sub opportunity. So essentially, as much stoppage as we have now.

Still helps with fatigued players but not quite as weighted to clubs with strong benches making multiple extra subs. Plus doesn’t add extra interruptions for us watching at home.

Zidane is so good coach for Real Madrid. He had almost the same team that last year (new transfers didnt play a lot, Hazard was injured) but older. And the team was rock solid in defence and won la liga. With Benzema as the only real scorer.
Congratulations. The disallowed goal with Vinicius dribbling was awesome too.

Still think he’s overrated as a coach but well done Real, fans of them enjoy your league title!
