I don't think they look like doing a repeat right now, but I really don't want to jinx it at this point either.

Atleast nothing more than the way Ive seen teams lose games to United over and over again in inexplicably bad ways back when United was winning last gaspers.. You get what you deserve by and large.

The Bundesliga! I like stopped paying attention because it's always Munchen and it's getting boring. But there's a proper scrap on in Germany these days. I might have to pay closer attention over the coming months. I have so much football to catch up with (I went hiking today)

To join the discussion about Liverpool they haven't been gifted anything. They have thought out a lot of close and often late wins from gritty performances where they haven't looked at their best. I can't think of too many examples of luck going their way and even if it has they are 14 points clear of City. So even if that luck wasn't with them in three of those games and they drew instead of won they would still be 8 fucking points clear of City. Leicester are having an incredible season 11 wins 2 draws 2 losses would be top of the league pretty much every season except this one (I don't even know how you would go about fact checking that) and they are still 11 points (1 game in hand) behind. That shows you just how good Liverpool's results have been this season. What they are doing is pretty much unprecedented in England. The go to direct title rivals are a little weak this season City having defensive issues and none of the other usual top 6 looking that great. But the deeper strength of the League is pretty much as high as I have seen it. There are no easy games. Teams like Brighton and Norwich have played really good football. This makes Liverpool's achievement even greater to me. Lots of people have talked about Guardiola walking from City. But I personally hope he sees this a challange and comes back stronger next year. Maybe it's dull to have no proper title race this season but it's not like Liverpool dominate the Premier League every year. They have never won it before. It's great that we have close races on the continent to look at in leagues that traditionally have looked more like England's currently does this year. I still don't know what to make of Mourinho at Spurs. He seems to have given them an injection of energy. Kane was saying today they have had barely any time to train together and for him to make much of an impact. So it might be just a case of players playing to impress him. The long term systemic issues are still there at Spurs with a lot of players wanting out and the club not competing in terms of wages with other top clubs. But the current squad is still very very good. I think it will all end in tears but there is potential for short term success in North London for Mourinho. Arsenal are an absolute shambles at the moment. I can't see any manager capable of going in there and sorting out the problems. There's no drive no desire. But seeing how quickly Everton and Spurs have managed to find that again after changing managers who knows. Solskjær's little string of results against good clubs means he's likely to be able to keep the job for the rest of the season. I strongly suspect that's playing into Pochettino's hands. He's off on a 14 million pound holiday waiting for Yanited to come calling after the seasons out.

But he looks like old mourinho. I understand that some people who have followed spain and barcelona have never really exposed to mourinho-from-first-chelsea-spell, but that guy was amazing. Charming, funny, happy, and with a team that played some very good offensive football. Also yeah Solskjær got a lot of leeway from winning those last two games. Now they have beat Chelsea, Leicester, Tottenham, City, as well as being the only team not to lose vs Liverpool - that performance vs top teams shows that the potential is there, while the fact that the team is so young, and has been injury ridden, is largely an explanation for their inconsistent performance.
