My father-in-law responded to the news by saying "sucks, because we needed him". I laughed in his face.

And my bold prediction is sometime next offseason he calls Big Ben to try to make up. I can't imagine anyone signing him unless they are both super SUPER desperate and their is no gaurantee's. I agreed that that was probably the case when they signed him. But this just coming out again after the case was thrown out? Yeah, not buying this one.
He can go play for the Dolphins. They're desperate as fuck for anything.

His case wasnt thrown out, 2 of the 3 allegations were, but a ton of evidence is still trickling out now that the investigation is proceeding. Dude is a fucking nightmare. He will likely never play again (unless the Redskins want to continue their tradition in signing scumbags)

I wouldn’t call AB a rapist just yet. Let’s not throw that term around so loosely (This coming from a non-AB fan)

Two of the allegations were sexual assault that fell out of the statutes of limitation, however the other is a rape allegation within the past 3 years which is a valid case, though it will proceed as a civil suit.
New details were released today about how he intimidated/threatened the woman and her kids.

AB is going to have one hell of a lawsuit against the NFL if hes found innocent. 45 million dollars up in air in the span of two weeks. Wouldn't be surprised to see AB and Big Ben hanging out on social media at this point. Doesn't really hurt the Pats any. Brees injured, KC doesn't have defense, etc NE should be fine

He was cut from the raiders for not practicing and putting private audio out to the public. And he was cut from the patriots for not following through on the promises he made them. At best he could maybe recoup the signing bonus from the pats, but that depends on the language in the contract. The Raiders ain't paying him shit, he wanted out of there. Cutting somebody for something they are not convicted of is a grey area that lawyers will have a field day with. Not saying its right, but this situation is tailor made for filing suit for wrongful termination. Since AB did play a game, hes should be able to get his 9 mil guaranteed. if found innocent of this allegations, he could sue for for the vaule of his 2 year NE contract + damages. IF AB never played the game vs the Dolphins, id imagine the contract verbiage would be different.

Years ago when Adrian Peterson signed his big 7 year contract with the Vikings, he plead guilty to beating up his 4 year old son, the NFL invented the exempt list, put Peterson on it, and Peterson still got paid the entire year for not playing. That case sets a legal precedent for AB to file suit.
|
|
The NFL arbitrary carving out exceptions and exemptions for themselves by inventing a certain list, which has no specific criteria for players becoming eligible to be a part of (peterson, hunt) is the reason AB could sue...but I digress
Lets talk about a more happy topic! Wentz, Prescott, and Golf were all drafted in the same year Wentz had a MVP caliber year 2 years ago Golf had a MVP caliber year last year Prescott is on his way to having a MVP caliber year this year
No busts!
