Tomlin is lowkey the most under preforming coach in recent history considering the players he has had to work with. Wouldn't be surprised if the 49'ers shut them out next week after beating Tampa Bay.

But the main factor is the Steelers as a organization believe that continuity trumps most things. In football where systems and fit matters than any other sport always drafting and filling spots for the same systems allows for way more depth and growth of your players. And considering the success of the Steeler's franchise I think it is hard to say that they are wrong. I'm pretty convinced it's not all that bad of an idea. Look at Alex Smith. Everyone was convinced he was trash for like half a decade. If you take some random Houston QB and a competent-ish head coach and just stick with it, I'd guess you will middle into the playoffs after a while.

I like Nagy, and think Trubs kinda sucks, but if they stay together 10 years, they will probably make 5 more playoffs, just cus the Lions and Redskins, etc will all be in so much chaos that they will be terrible.

Plus hes in his 10th season so they have to be careful with him. Probably mistaking him for Danny Amendola. All those Wes Welker types look alike.
