Rumours are he "turned it down" because he believes the squad does not want him? How does he know this, only Tibo has been vocal and that is quite easy to just negotiate one player.

Ramos yesterday when he talked after "el clasico" kinda insinuated that they don't want him. He said that "soft" coaches (like Del Bosque, Ancelotti and Zidane) had been better for the club than firm hand coaches (like Mourinho, and for sure he refers to Conte). And after that he said "Respect is won, it is not imposed". Players are so spoiled nowadays...

The season is over anyways and the team is obviously rebuilding with younger players. Perez should hire young coach that knows the club and will be with it for the long run. One-two season coach like Conte is not ideal in this situation. I say Guti or Solari.

Players are so spoiled nowadays... weellll - i'm not the biggest Ramos fan out there but if it's worked for them in the past having a softer coach, then why shouldn't they be asking for it again? it's very similar to parenting... some thrive under a harsher environment, others prefer a soft touch so while i do agree that players are more spoiled these days, but it doesn't make Ramos' request any less valid..

If players are calling the shots in the media, it's hard to believe anything is going to change until they rotate out the current core roster. I'm all for respectful talks inside the team and all that, but don't bring it to the media.

They need to salvage this season and hire someone next summer imo, like Pochettino. Someone with good football, but not too authoritarian.

Tottenham Hotspur are set to borrow another £237million to cover the spiralling costs of their new stadium build. Spurs revealed the extension of their “development facility” with their three banking partners in their statement on Friday night, which confirmed that the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium would not be ready until 2019. The club also revealed their net debt as £366m, a figure that is set to rise to £600m. The club had initially announced in May 2017 a £400m arrangement with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Goldman Sachs and HSBC, which was due to last for five years. But in Friday’s statement Tottenham confirmed that the facility is now worth “up to £637m”, representing an increase of £237m or 59% on the initial £400m. That extra money is needed to cover any cash-flow issues as Tottenham try to complete the construction of their new stadium, which has dragged on through the first half of this season. Tottenham are now looking to re-finance this £637m facility through a bond issue, similar to the approach that debt-laden Manchester United have used in the past. “Working with our Banking Partners and our financial advisor, Rothschild & Co, we shall be converting this development facility, which currently expires in April 2022, into notes with a mixture of debt maturities,” Tottenham confirmed. In May 2015 Manchester United raised $425m of bonds through a private placement. That is when a borrower sells bonds privately to a small group of institutional investors, rather than offering them publicly. Tottenham are set to pursue a similar approach. This all means that Spurs’ net debt is set to increase even further. While Spurs confirmed in their Friday statement that the net debt is now £366m, the extra £237m means that it is now expected to rise up to £600m. Tottenham initially aimed to move into their new stadium for the Premier League game with Liverpool on 15 September but that deadline was missed, forcing Spurs to aim for the game with Burnley on 15 December. But the stadium will not be ready for that game either, and with the club reluctant to open the stadium over Christmas, the target is now the match with Manchester United on 13 January. Source

While he was there, they cheated the league for Madrid, when he left it was the opposite and it's all Barcelona now. That's why Zidane and Cristiano left, because they barely managed to win yet another cheated European Clubs Cup. Ah, they will also say how EPL is easier than La Liga, in the end of the season if they get Conte. Meanwhile Gremio a priceless passion, a love from the heart, is playing River Plate in Libertadores semi-final. The joy of winning deserved, and achievement despite all the cheat is something not everyone can taste.

I didn't really have any skin in that game, but you just pushed me into supporting River wholeheartedly (I was already biased towards Inter, and I like River too, but still. So much more fun now that I hear your passionate fandom of Gremio).

Better become a fan of (probably) Boca Juniors next week then. I know everyone, CBF, CONMEBOL, FIFA (UEFA) is against but the Tricolor Gaúcho is IMORTAL. + Show Spoiler + CBF? Yup, they are SP-RJ centralists. Won't go well for them that a club that is only 2 times national league champion (although 5 times national cup champion) can become the first brazilian 4 times Libertadores champion. PS: I made a few typos in my previous post, libertadores is still in semis

I swear this focking VAR only works against us. I really will never get used to this shit. Goalkeeper takes a minute to kick a ball. Referee takes forever to let Gremio (at fucking HOME) kick a normal free-kick in defense. Gremio is about to attack, a random River dude out of play throws himself in the ground and the referee instantly stops... Won't say I didn't have expectation, but that's it and let me hope Boca can beat the global cheaters this time. Really let this one get out of hand easily but it's always difficult when it's EVERYTHING against you. + Show Spoiler + Something disgusting dirty pieces of shits will never understand.

Edit: Also seeing some Gremio players complain that River players should hurry up and stop time wasting in the last minutes has to be one of the most ironic and funny moments in football I've seen quite for some time ![]()

+ Show Spoiler + Still I just want to remind the fellows here that the difference between 2 continental and world titles with this team to only 1 continental is the referee. The same dude that makes you celebrate a star in your shirt thanks to a late fake penalty against Argentina to destroy an entire tournament. And that's it. Gremio beaten by the 1st river goal being scored with the hand, yet they go all the way with var that's only used against Gremio to call a fingersball PK that's only called against Gremio. And let's also ignore the suspended River coach ilegally talking with his players in the dressing room during HT. Also giving radio instructions. But that's football. If Gremio did the same it would be an instant 3-0 loss Congratz to the referee though, he never gave up that fat cheque even when 2-0 down, and applied the two weights and two measures very well in both handball cases only using var against Gremio. He owns a beer to Everton and Bressan though
