If Schöne just lets Onana pick up the ball nothing happens. So then you are going to start a blame game and losing trust. And they have a 19 year old as a captain. He's an absolute rockstar of a player but still he's also a 19 year old

Pretty much the same happened last week...Tottenham got the ball up in the air and made the game physical. Worst thing ever for Ajax, who were just booting it up the pitch instead of keeping it in play. Pity about the English final now, which I don't think I'm even going to watch, it's just physical power football.

Liverpool ajax would have been an even greater final to but I can't help but admire tottenham's second half, it was tactically perfect and wonderfully executed. I mean sure, long ball after long ball, but all the long balls hit, and they always had quick players nearby able to pick up the second ball. Moura was fantastic, that second goal is a masterpiece. And I think liverpool-tottenham has potential to be a fantastic game anyway. Tottenham doesn't have the consistency to fight them in the league, but they can pull of some pretty great individual games, and in terms of style, both teams are prone to highly intense games with fast attacks happening both ways. It could happen that Pool just runs away with it, but it's far from a given.

Dude was single-handedly carrying the midfield in the second half, the way Dembele used to do, so delightful to witness ... Looked like they mostly skipped the midfield anyway, so he didn't have much to do. But I'm still really salty, this scripted CL sucks.
