It doesn't seem like a sustainable system, but then again not many things financed from Dubai do anyway. PSG is not financed by Dubai. + Show Spoiler +Contrary to popular belief Dubai is the one Emirate that has no inherent natural oil wealth. Theyre economy is built on tourism along with being a financial and trade hub, leveraging their geolocation and the fact that it is an extremely secure place. They dont have alot of disposable cash to spend on foreign investments. (and by not alot I mean like the absurd about the others do)
PSG is owned by Qatar. They are natural wealth rich and have invested exceptionally well and have multiplied their wealth to such stupid amounts they will have plenty of money to burn for a while. Ah yeah, I was writing that with zero thought process in my head and fumbled around for the general term for the oil billionaire financed clubs, but missed by quite a bit. Dubai definitely wasn't the best choise of word there. As for the finances, the owners definitely have money to burn, but I'm more wondering whether they're happy to keep PSG running with it. As far as I can tell, the only measure of success footballing wise is winning everything in domestic competitions and making deep UCL runs consistently. So far the results have been a bit underwhelming and right now the team looks like its unravelling and losing focus more than getting closer to the big success. If Real comes asking for Neymar and Mbabbe this summer, it's going to be somewhat of a test for the PSG and whether they want to stick to the current plan.
I dont know about sticking to a plan or not. But there is no point in keeping players that are met with buyouts and who want to leave.
In terms of whether they will continue to spend money, unless they lose the star players they have I dont think they will feel they need to. There might be holes in their squad they might want to fill but the star slots are filled.
They have the squad they need more or less. Theyre issues lie elsewhere.

There are lots of things to say about what Paris need to change - and it probably won't happen until they fire the current president - but one thing is for sure, Neymar and Mbappé aren't going anywhere. One is going to advertise the 2022 WC, the other one is the biggest French star and just won a world cup. They don't care about getting 500M€ per player, they're not there to make money, and they don't need any extra cash to buy more players. Unless the FFP forces them to, it's not going to happen.

Neymar is different though, i agree with Mbappe because i doubt he would want to leave but Neymar certainly has desires to play outside of PSG again. He already stated he wants to play with Eden Hazard for example and im sure if his dad is offered some money somewhere from Perez Real Madrid will seem good for him too.

Sooo what do you guys think happens today?
I can't see Ajax playing defensive , counterattacking style so I guess (and hope) this will be an open battle that ends somewhere around a 2:2

Spurs have no Son and no Kane, their goal threat this leg is like 0 at best xD
I can see Ajax getting an away goal comfortably, maybe a 1-0 or 2-0 Ajax win.

And that from our English football overlords? xD
Didn't know about Son and Kane. Only chance for Spurs to score is through team effort or lucky handball penalty. Both possible but unlikely

Haha i think they might win the tie overall tbf, i just think this game they are really up against it due to attacking threat is Lucas Moura who is very hit and miss. Llorente might play who is worthess in this kinda game. Alli does not score enough but maybe he has one of those games where he just dominates from crosses. Eriksen would need to dominate the midfield to give Spurs a chance in the first leg.
Second leg chasing the game might be able to get Son really into it and take their chances like vs City and well i see that second leg being fantastic.
In more important news, Yokohama are letting me in their box for second leg of semi final vs Frankfurt :D woop! Its right next to Roman's box and its sooooo good in their haha. Get to be a rich man for the night!

Ooooooooooh it's time for my Ajax to shine once again tonight !
I'd TOTALLY love Barcelona vs Ajax UCL finals, oh Gosh. Despite being Barca fan, I'd love Ajax to win, that'd be an amazing history and an amazing run they had.

I might have to go to Madrid for that

I would totally be fine with Ajax winning. If it wasnt for the fact that so much of Ajax class that won the CL ended up up in Barcelona... I dont think I wouldve ever started following Barcelona in the first place.
It would be pretty sweet actually. They play with good skill, fearlessness and all the naivety that goes with that.. makes games fun.

It has to be Ajax in the final. Any other match-up would be boring. Pool Spurs would be the worst, Barça Spurs not even exciting they already thrashed them :D I wouldn't mind Klopp winning it, he's more than deserved it, but rewarding this year's Ajax would also be sweet. Any team but Tottenham basically haha.
