So they played their heart out and tried for it. And as so often happens then, they left wide gaping holes in their defense and Barça exploited that, and scored 2 more.
But this has nothing to do with lousy "la Liga" defense, and everything with needing 11 men forward to try to prevent elimination.

Pretty sure you can't beat the Chelsea defense from last night xD
It was mainly bad due to in the first half whilst we conceded a chance or two on the counter, we were doing fine. Jorginho was winning the ball back so much and breaking up the play we just lacked a final ball and Kovacic had his shot tipped onto the bar. However the second half they just fell to pieces so very fast. Sarri really needs to start picking different players, he keeps going on about motivation and whatnot which is clearly an issue we get that, but stop picking the same players then...play Lofty, Callum and Christensen etc. Change the players or you will be without a job very fast.
That was our heaviest defeat in 23 years and joint biggest defeat in the premier league era period. Roman is not going to like that and he does not need a second invitation to fire the bullet. Especially with how well Lampard started his coaching career and the fact that we have Zola as number 2 who is more than capable of taking the team over.
So Mr Sarri you need to address the problem fast or you'll be gone which is sad because we do at times play wonderful football.
Oh also, i think we are the first time in history to have 70% possession and lose 4-0 ?

How did Higuain look? He's probably the main lifeline for Sarri right now.

Already looked much better than morata. He doesn't fall to ground, shields the ball well and make good runs. Problem is his teammates are not trying to find him. Can't do much when there's no service.

Sarri says Higuain is not fit and has "back problems" (great lol) so that is why he took him off. His movement was lacking in the box but his link up play was fine, looked stronger on the ball than Morata too.

Your boy Giroud was on the pitch though, thought if we played him and Hazard we would score goals for fun?

What does that post have to do with Morata? I never attacked or defended Morata i am sure as well, but that has nothing to do with Morata. That was a breakdown on what Sarri needs to change/do.
My opinion on Morata is he just didn't get on with England and his confidence drained and disappeared. From there in this league you get eaten alive with the pressures when your at a big club continuously failing to score or fluffing your big chances. He will suit the easier La Liga games and better climate, he also clearly prefers Madrid being from there so he will be back to scoring 20 plus a season no problems.

Scoring more than 20 goals in a season (all competitions included) would be a first for Morata actually

Scored 20 goals for Real Madrid in his final season. But i did think he scored more than 20 but i guess that magic 15 number but scoring vital goals for Juve in champs league and some good ones for Real off the bench made me exaggerate how many it actually was. I see him getting to 20 next season fully though.

However it is funny how other than that season he literally scores 15 goals a season in every other one haha. He has 9 goals so far this season so needs another 6 to keep that going.

I think I would have preferred Barcelona to be eliminated from the Spanish Cup. Now after drawing Madrid in the cup, they have to play Real Madrid three times this month (+ Valencia and Sevilla). I hope they are not too tired for the CL later.

Madrid also has to play CL and Atletico. And Atletico has to play Juve. So I think it's alright for la Liga at least. CL should be easy if the team plays half decently.

It doesnt have anything to do with it, I was just being lazy and wanted to make sure I got your attention. Im sure there was a Morata post in there that I could have references. I apologize, seeing it from that side that might even have been somewhat disrespectful
I think any league will eat you alive if you fail to score and fluff big chances. Then again he didnt do that at Madrid and they werent particularly fussed to sell him. He was pretty efficient. But back when we said all he really was consistently good at was cleanup goals you didnt seem to agree.
This whole didnt get along well in England is a bit of a lame excuse. If you are good you will find a way to be good anywhere. Being able to cope with pressure is a part of being a professional. Failure is not an excuse for failure.
