And you regardless of how good next year's regular season goes, no one will care until they can make it to the Finals. Likewise Capella is up for a contract and rumors are other teams are considering offering him a max deal. As good as he has been, I ultimately look at him more like Ibaka when he was with the Thunder. A very good piece, but take him out of the system and he isn't likely to be a star on his own. But losing him would definitely hurt, and he is young so perhaps he can improve some more. Maybe they will win the Lebron sweepstakes and Paul will take less to play with his Banana boat buddy. Capella is an interesting case, he is the perfect big man for the system. Runs hard protects the rim finishes in close. But how replaceable is that? His game seems 95% based on his athleticism so one injury and you are out. I don't put much stock in the height study, that lead someone to think hill was a better signing then Lowry or Paul, the greats break rules and Paul has. But there is no way he is worth the supermax at this stage, because we will not be great at age 36,37. So they either have to convince him of this. Or got for it for the next 2-3 years then get ready to hit tank mode near the end of his deal. As far as Lebron sweep stakes, Rockets have to hope the Warriors sweep the Cavs, and even then it would take some major cap room magic and/or sacrifices by players who could make more money else where. CP3 taking less money isn't impossible, considering I don't know what other team would offer him the max, but as president of the Player's Association he has some obligation to at least attempt to get the most money he can. Other big free agents this summer include Paul George, and DeMarcus Cousins, and there are always trade scenarios. Rockets own free agents include:

none of those dudes even matter. ryan anderson and his contract is the biggest obstacle to everything.

I used to say short, white, Rodman who can hit FTs, but since that is just Draymond, now I'm short white Draymond.

https://www.theringer.com/nba/2018/5/29/17406750/bryan-colangelo-philadelphia-76ers-twitter-joel-embiid-anonymous-markelle-fultz It's well beyond "completely implausible" the proof is so damning that I don't even know how Colangelo can deny it. Here's the evidence: The accounts follow a lot of players on the University of Chicago team that Colangelo's son plays on One of the tweets references seeing Wade and Union in Beijing where Colangelo is known to have been at the time An anonymous source claiming to have identified these accounts using AI technology said “To me, there is no conceivable world where that is not Bryan Colangelo, himself, Not his wife, not his son, not his dad.” The three newest accounts followed half of the same people The accounts are all extraordinarily pro Colangelo and anti Hinkie/Majiri/Embiid/Okafor/Noel The accounts are similar syntactically and use a lot of the same language. The accounts disclose information about the 76ers that was not available to the public. And, most damning of all, after tipping Colangelo on two of the five accounts, he confirmed that one of them was his. All five The three unidentified accounts went dark simultaneously shortly thereafter. Any one of those things could be coincidence. Hell, a couple of those things together could be coincidence. But all of it? Occam's Razor applies here. As far as I'm concerned, these accounts are Colangelo's. The evidence is overwhelming. Colangelo was a bit of a bullshitter in Toronto but nothing near this scale of BS. i don't get why Colangelo would criticize Ujiri behind a fake twitter account. He hired Ujiri and quickly promoted Ujiri to assistant GM. Ujiri has kept a lot of Colangelo's draft picks, players and support staff. Ujiri is a walking, talking , living example of Colangelo's good judgement... why bash the guy? It's Tim Lewieke's giant power play facilitated by 2 media giants buying the team from a pension fund that got Colangelo fired in Toronto. Ujiri had nothing to do with it.
