Yeah Croatia too, true.

Also i feel with Turkey though they had some great players as well right? Hakan Sukur was just nutty for starters lol. Didn't he hold World Cup scoring records at one point before Klose? Or was it just a golden boot he won?

We don't talk about that
I used to organize tournaments for ESL Italy and referee Go4SC2s, WCSs, and IEMs for ESL SC2.

Quickest goal ever, 10 seconds or something

Hahaha
Sane is out.
Leno, Petersen and Tah too, but they were kinda expected, even though i would have assumed Leno to get the GK3 position and Trapp to stay home.

I guess Trapp got his place because of more International experience than Leno?
I am so sad. I had wished Gomez would be gone D:

TBF Sane looked much worse within the national team than he did with city. too cocky and too egotistical, he's a young guy looking to prove himself. Löw prefers the stable team player over the creative occasional genius.

Apparently the question wasn't if Löw should take Trapp or Leno but Leno or Ter Stegen. I heard they really really really dislike each other

Has no problem being second, third choice in team. Plays for the team, defends more than Sane.

You have to remember that Löw will always go for team synergy first, skills second. Especially squad players should have no problems missing games

Spain scored two fair goals, only the referee saw otherwise. Korea 02 is the most blatant example of match-fixing on the big stage, Asia is just very corrupt like that.

If you say matchfixing happened then it was done by the referees who are not Asian

In Asia, facilitated by the Korean FA who are also tied up in their domestic league being a total farce. Same in China. Cheating is just part of the culture over there and it's rife in everything, sport, academia..

I'm not gonna make judgment calls on whether it was match fixed or not, but the refereeing in the SK-Spain/Italy games was Øverbø-level horrible. SK's success in that tournament had two primary reasons, a) homefield gave their players a boost enabling them to play at 120% of their regular level, b) referees gifting them the games vs Italy and Spain. I dunno whether it was bribery, threats, not wanting to disappoint/anger the home fans or a highly improbable string of coincidences where the two referees just happened to consistently and blatantly make wrong calls favoring south korea, but yeah..

I mean I hated Italy pretty hard back then, wasn't a fan of Spain, was a huge fan of South Korea (loved the intensity they played with, was a fan cause of BW), but those two games were total travesties.
