Have you ever think that sometimes referees have mistakes (like players or coaches) and that every match is not a cheating conspiration? A broken clock is right twice a day. Not to say that the ref deliberately worked for Barca in the match, but you're delusional if you don't recognize the clear bias towards Barca there and in countless other instances. Clear is a strong word, I think if you were to average it, between teams at the elite level it evens out, but no one wants to bother doing that because whatever feeds into the narrative we want to believe we acknowledge. If people started habitually complaining about calls Barca dont get maybe the narrative would shift a little.. I dont know..

I do agree that some referees might feel more pressured to make a decision against big teams like Barcelona, but that pressure isn't coming only from the club, it's from the lack of support referees get from the leagues/UEFA when things go bad. Nowadays, it's almost normal to see a referee suspended for a few months just because he cost some points to the big team. Players also complain far too much on a pitch, I'm always amazed at how Suarez doesn't end up every game with a red card. Not sure how to solve this given the money at stake for some of those clubs, they'll always blame referees just to try and get an advantage long term.

Go ahead.. should be easy since they are countless Also its not just not getting calls when you lose, its also not getting calls when they win. At the end of the day if teams are good enough, they make enough opportunities. On March 15 2018 17:21 WillyWanker wrote: I'm always amazed at how Suarez doesn't end up every game with a red card. And yeah the last couple of yeras even Messi has started to develop a bit more of an attitude compared to before, he gets in the refs face alot now too. I guess a lifetime of getting kicked non stop will do that to anyone but still, does take away from the first decade or so of him just putting his head down and moving on from nearly every hit.

Just start booking everyone for it and it will end very quickly, fucks sake they even try to argue after VAR usage.

I agree, I think Ive mentioned this before aswell, just book everyone and start suspending people for accumulating them. The only way to change that sort of culture is to have serious consequences. Even fine are pointless. They have to miss games or something that affects them enough to care.

And lifetime of getting kicked? You just described Neymar, not Blatter boys who can barely be touched (and sometimes not even) and referees reacts strongly.
