The whole Mourinho plan shatters to pieces when he doesn't win anything. You have a team that plays the shittiest brand of football AND is not winning... Well, that's a lose-lose for you. On top of that he is spending quite a lot of money.

Hopefully the English will have three teams left after tomorrow

Pretty much. I think it is important for United to get back to winning ways so I thought getting Mourinho along wouldn't be too bad as long as you get rid of him after three years. But he's been utter shit in what is supposed to be his strongest seasons.

I think Barca beat Chelsea honestly.

I don't think Mourinho is going anywhere, he will just say he can't play the good football until he has the players to do so

but anyway they played bad but i think that was down to starting Fellaini for whatever reason he decided to do that. Matic and Mata would made sense.

We were playing better with Fellaini on the field than Pogba to be honest. It's disappointing given Sevilla is beatable, but it's not a huge surprise.

Heh this is exactly why I criticized Manu and Mourinho's play style after the first leg while some here thought their play was totally fine.
Just playing safe and hoping for some lucky rebounds after long balls should not be enough for the richest club in the world. Yeah sometimes it works as against Liverpool. Maybe this style even gets them a 60% chance to win or whatever, but that is usually not enough to win CL. Because that 60% has to be enough 4 times in a row and you can very well be eliminated by a team like Sevilla that is weaker on paper.

The Sanchez deal backfired greatly though. I still think he's a great player but having to adapt to an entirely new environment, new teammates and play style during a short but crucial period of time was proven to be too much of an ask. This is why the January transfer window is a double-edged sword. And he's been pretty much guaranteed a starting position along with Lukaku upfront. I'm not saying Sanchez was the cause of the loss, United had been pretty clueless in their game plan prior to that but there were a lot of occasions during this match (and in other to that extent), where I could see Sanchez's lack of "clicking" with other players hurt us a lot, especially in counter attacking which is the bread and butter when you actively try to play safe.

yeah i was never a fan of sanchez coming to united, and as much as id like to be proven wrong, its pretty clear that at this point sanchez hasnt done anything for the team yet. he definitely isnt the sole reason why we lose but we could be so much better if someone else took his spot

Any idea when ManU plays the 4-3-3 and when the 4-2-3-1? The games I've seen they just seem more comfortable with 4-3-3, especially when Pogba is playing.

Yeah hes not really fitting. I think for the vast majority the move seemed kinda forced and wonky. I would have liked him to do well but I think there was always a prevailing sense that it wasnt going to work. I think United fans probably felt this more than anyone but were quietly optimistic about it.

Dono hopefully maybe something clicks. United as welll as they have done in the league have never really shown the sort of consistent fluency in their attacking play that Sanchez thrives on. And Mou has never coached teams into that fluency anyway, the times his teams have had it has been inherent to the players not due to something he has done.
