Compared to that, I would put down a quarterfinal against poland/belgium/england and a semifinal against argentina/spain/portugal as realative freewins. Based on the draw, I estimate the likely outcomes for germany are: groupstage elimination: 1%; ro16: 49%, ro8: 10%, ro4: 10%; second place: 15%; winner: 15%.

Second game against sweden, which we will lose because the we always suck in the second game of groupstage, and sweden is good enough to not let us escape with a draw. Then sweden will win their other games, we will probably face brazil in the ro16, or even worse, serbia if we win our group nevertheless. And these southeastern european teams are always our kryptonite, because we never give them any credit. Which is fine but has no real statistical basis. The draw is certainly not as perceptively easy as some of the other groups but Germany should win the group. After that who knows.

Thus securing themselves top pot! However FIFA were aware of this and are changing the seeding situation now haha If he got paid for that, he's a smart dude. There were articles about this before the 2014 world cup, so I assumed this wouldve been common knowledge to any professional football association. I think romania also did the same.
