They are rock solid in defense, Umtiti and Semedo are great purchases. Valverde has made the team to defend perfectly (only received 4 goals in league and 1 goal in CL). But otherwise the midfield is not so great as before and the playmaking is boring. Goal is lacking sometimes too.
It is like the opposite of old Barça. Catalan radio said €20million done deal to bring in Ozil at January?
Yeah but I dont see him as much of a solution.. Barca is winning most of the time but its been really dull. Suarez struggling has had a fair bit to do with it. But unless Iniesta has the odd vintage game there isnt much spark.
Neymar leaving has freed up Jordi Alba alot so he has been a more potent offensive threat but thats about the only real offensive improvement.

Yeah Ozil helps though right, you seem him as a Iniesta replacement to make the plays and help knit together the midfield to forward line. Maybe they really missing Dembele :D haha

Please not Özil to Barca. Then he must be fielded for the WC national team again Or maybe Barca pick him up, then bench him for the rest of the season and Jogi can bench him too since he lacks play time ^.^

has he even coached?
just wiki'd him
"On 30 January 2017, Campbell was named as Dennis Lawrence's assistant manager, after the latter was appointed manager of the Trinidad and Tobago national team."
that's it under coaching career.

I kind of agree. Only coutinho would make it to our squad at the expense of Fab or Pedro. Not even sure if I'd like any of their other players on our bench. Maybe sturridge/mane over bats. I'd give Robertson a chance over Alonso too. Their defence is so bad that I'd prefer Cahill lol.
Not a fan of salah. He is on form at the moment, but my assessment is that he has shit touch, shit finishing and very one footed. Somehow he still scored so many goals which I don't understand. Credit to Liverpool's attack and salah's pace in being able to create so many easy chances for him.
[Edit]
I forgot about lallana. We could probably use him too.

Yeah agree on Salah, guy is insane form right now, but this time last year it was Mane and look at him now (yes he has been injured, but still not looking like he was last season) he did the exact same as Salah did at the start. Salah for us was absolutely awful, we had a great team and he was there to pressure places and try and force a way in but never did. I remember a game vs League 2 Shrewsbury town in the cup where had had like 20 shots at goal, 0 on target, all of them miles wide, he was very bad. He then went to Italy and had 3 years learning his craft and solidify himself and it was only last season he started finding the net for Roma who were playing a similar counter attack style to Liverpool.

Salah couldn't and still can't fulfil the defensive duties that mourinho wanted from his players. He is a pure attacking player. That's why he didn't fit in Chelsea. Liverpool is certainly playing to his strengths by allowing him to stay forward and wide for counters..

Talking about the retrospective ban for diving: Everton caretaker boss David Unsworth has previously said it sets a dangerous precedent. And he repeated his opinion after the reasons were released. "It opens it up to opinion, not fact," he said while previewing Sunday's game at Southampton (13:30 GMT).
Right were as the Referee’s decision with only a fraction of a second to look at it is definitely not an opinion but absolute fact. Idiot! I don’t understand at all what kind of dangerous precedent punishing players for their actions sets. Sure, respect the referee decision the game should never be affected retrospectively and yes it
edit: What the hell happened to the rest of my post? Ah well. I had largely got my point across.

Thanks to people like him football is still in the stone ages in respect to fairness on the field

Maybe Dembélé will improve the team, but even when Deulofeu was on, they played similarly with no one on the left side but Alba. So I'm not sure his return will change much.

Where does this myth come from that ozil does not track back? He is always one of the top runners in Germany

Pulis to Swansea might not be the worse move. He keeps people up. That's all they need.

Palace will beat Stoke today.

Braunschweig lost today in maybe one of the most frustrating matches I've ever seen live. 60mins we were better and had the better goal scoring opportunity. But we just couldn't score. Nürnberg on the other hand scores 2 out of 3 big chances in the 2nd half.
The ref was fucking incompetent. Mind you guys: not biased. Just incompetent. Every 60/40, 75/25 decision was called against the 60, 75. Wew
Also I've heard some people calling the #7 of Nürnberg racist stuff which I fucking hated and confronted. You shouldn't reduce someone to his looks or his (perceived) race. Just call him out for his behaviour. Just call him scum, an asshole or the disgrace of football. Call him what he is. But don't make it look like he is acting like this because of race stuff. Salli is just a shitty person and a scumbag, nothing less and nothing more.
Also a good friend of mine good diagnosed today with a pretty serious illness.... so I will get drunk now. Have a nice one.
Edit: Atleast Magdeburg is doing it in the derby?
|
Shit. Enjoy the beer even if nothing else is good today
|
@Thenewera: get drunk with your friend mate, best of luck there
Meanwhile BVB 4-0 Schalke after 24 minutes, with a side dish of refereeing controversy.
