The main reason they are much higher last 2 seasons is other "top" teams being garbage. You expected Spurs to drop 7 points over their last 19 PL matches? Nostradamus is among us!

Yeah honestly I am not as surprised by the position Spurs are in as much as the actual difference in points. Spurs last season capitulated when fatigue(?) kicked in and I thought that with better squad management (and a bit of luck with form) they could really challenge the top spots. But dropping 7 points in 19 PL matches, 11 points ahead of third place with 4 games remaining? I don't think anyone expected that. Arsenal with the usual failure, Manchester City self destructing, Man U still recovering from post Alex, and Liverpool being Liverpool. Spurs has been on the rise, and deserve to be where they are now. I mean it is true that traditional teams have been a bit crap, but 77 points from 34 matches is really amazing good and would have them contending in most years. Looking at the remaining fixtures 87 points is a realistic total (I would say 89, but United just don't seem to lose), which could have won the league in a couple seasons.

With how bad other pl teams are to whom are they supposed drop points? There is like 30 pretty easy games out of 38 for them. For some reason despite spending more money smaller english teams look worse and worse.

I still think he was underrated, or at least he barely gets the attention he deserves when it comes to his football skills, honestly his celebrity always outshined his skill, his right foot was gods work

He was overrated. He was considered one of the best of Real Madrid, but he only had a great shoot and some good passes sometimes.
