Super god Diego Costa has 0.5 goals per game, Benzema, THE OVERRATED, also has 0.5 goals per game he is a striker, he scores goals, im not sure what you want from him also... oh and he is great at driving defenders away, he is pretty good at holding the ball, nice positioning also, etc... He might or might not be the end all be all of strikers, but overrated ? thats crossing the line IMO | ||

Benzema is a really solid striker who is good at everything a striker needs to be good at. I think he's somewhere around top 10 pure strikers in the world, and rated as such. | ||

He has loadsa chances every game it seems and makes howling misses in lots and lots of them. Not saying anyone else is different or no striker does that, but with Benzema it seems alot that this happens! Plus as you can see from minutes per goal stats, Benzema plays every game still and Morata is subbed on last 10-15 mins max. So I agree that this season his numbers look bad. But overall his stats are very solid, below MSN, ronaldo lewandowsi zlatan aguero, but comparable to pretty much anyone else. (I'm sure there are a couple other players with comparable or better numbers over the past 5 years, but I dunno if there are more than 15 players with better goal/assist per minute ratio.) Nobody is claiming Benzema is the best in the world, just that he's consistently solid, and with an apparent exception for this season, he has been. | ||

They have a striker in Morata who is ready and needs more game time but every week Benzema is played over him still. Which is strange in my view when there is competition for places there is no excuse not to swap and change them when either doesn't perform. But as you can see, even though the stats in Morata's favor, Benzema is played over him every single time. | ||

Comparing a someones goals to time ratio when they play as a sub to someone who starts a game is such a facepalmy comparison. By that logic Injury master Sturridge has one of the highest Goals per minute ratio in the PL. What a travesty he isnt rated higher. | ||
